Bad customer service in general on many occasions. It's not just a one time incident. Quality of food varies but can be good. Refused to acknowledge they forgot half a duck from our order for a relatives birthday. Most likely gave it to another customer.
They do have good food but they do not communicate with their customer. For example when they are close for business. Nobody knows. You check online and it says they are open. No voice message to tell you they are not operating or open. Causing you to drive there and Wasting fuel. Only to get there and they are close. happy chef you have a phone for the business ,live a voice note if you are not open. You might loose customers the moment another type of your business is open in Daventry. I have started looking for options . That is why I will you 2 star for atmosphere and 1star for service. As communication is part of service

The food here was fantastic, the customer service was fabulous. The only thing that made me downgrade the score from a 5 to a 4 is the false advertising unfortunately. So on arrival it stated happy hour evening was £8pp yet the menu inside stated £9pp also we had spare ribs which on the menu stated we should get 5 per portion yet we received 4 each. Luckily this was more than enough food for us but anything in black and white should be consistent with that's received or paid. Aside from that, I will return, the food was lovely and nicely presented.
When you walk in it is a takeaway with two rows of wooden tables to the left of the counter. We had prebooked so our table was nicely set out. The lady serving was very cheerful, friendly and helpful. We chose the two set meals for two people which seemed right for the four of us. They do a small selection of beer, wine etc. The food was delicious. The starters were served and there was an interval before main dishes were served. It was all hot. We were so very surprised by the whole experience. It was wonderful. I highly recommend a visit. We will definitely go again.

First time ordering from here after moving to Dav 6 months ago. I have to say it was extremely disappointing, you know it is not good when driving home you don't enjoy the smell in your car. The food tasted as if it was cooked in burnt oil, the sweet and sour hong Kong chicken was dry and when chewing became stringy in your mouth and the curry sauce was thick and had the consistency of mushy peas. The chilli salted chips lacked flavour and over cooked. This reminded me left overs. Massively disappointing and will stick to your competitors on the Grange.
Fab food, nice clean seated area indoors and even a choice to sit outside. The staff are great, so friendly and helpful. Extensive menu, plenty of choices, fair pricing, snd everything the 4 of us ordered was brilliant. Highly recommended.
Ordered a delivery at 17.58 its now 20.35 for a take away which is only 5 minutes up the road. I was told when I ordered it was busy and delivery time would be an hour & a half which I accepted but to wait over 2 and a half hours is unacceptable so cancelled the order. Shame really as its a good Chinese and have ordered there before without any issues. But I won't be ordering from there again.
