   I have been seeing Mel for over 8 years and I honestly wouldn’t go to anyone else. She is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and always offers excellent advice. Mel takes the time to really listen to what I want, while also giving honest, expert guidance to make sure the end result is the best it can be. Her understanding of hair is outstanding, and I always leave feeling confident and happy with my hair. I’ve recommended Mel to several people over the years, all of whom have been equally delighted with her work. She is truly wonderful at what she does.

   I went for the first time to this salon in December 2024 and had a haircut with Grace. I asked for a square blunt cut collar bone length and she did a very nice cut. I went again this last Saturday to do the same haircut and get a quote for colour work as they don’t have set prices. Grace wasn’t there so they put me with Sheryl or Sharon didn’t get her name. I asked again for a square blunt cut collar bone length and curtain bags. I showed her a picture of the bangs I wanted and a picture of the fringe I didn’t want, and she replied “no worries I know”. What a disaster! She didn’t do a square blunt cut, she just cut the length and didn’t do the curtain bangs but a badly done short fringe with no shape and uneven. When I mentioned about the bangs she straight away went into defensive mode saying she did what I asked for, which it wasn’t. Last night I washed and blow dry my hair and noticed the ends at the back and right side curl up meaning there was no blunt cut, and on then front left side the ends curl up to the front and it didn’t have the same length so I had to cut the 2 fronts to level them with the sides. I also didn’t get the price for the colour work because when she finished and I asked her to do the consultation for the colour her reply was “I don’t have time I have another client and I don’t want to leave late”. To say the haircut was done extremely bad is an understatement, I really want my £55 back so i can go somewhere else and get it fixed. I had this haircut done twice so I know what she did was a terrible job and definitely not getting the colour done there. UPDATE: Today I called the salon to complain about the haircut and the terrible service. I was shocked by how rude the owner was. Completely on a defence mode, speaking to me like I was on the wrong. Rather than understand that I’m the customer calling because one of her employees did a bad job and terrible service, I was shouted at and in her words “nowhere on this earth I will give you a refund”. Absolutely Shocking

   Mel is such an amazing & super lovely stylist! I am absolutely delighted with both the colour (highlights) and the cut! I love coming to this salon & always feel great when I leave! :-) Mel is incredibly knowledgeable and super talented. I have very fine hair and she always manages to work her wonders on it! Thank you very much Mel, and thank you also to Briony, who gave me a lovely relaxing head massage when she washed my hair.

Michelle and her team are always welcoming, friendly, and professional. I can't wait to have my monthly colour and her amazing styling really lasts. Strangers have commented on the quality of my cut. If you are looking for a great, local salon, then I could not recommend Beach Hair strongly enough - you won't look back.

   I've had my hair cut by Michelle at Beach for years. She is a brilliant very experienced stylist, who took the time to work out how my hair behaved before cutting it, ensuring that the style, and weight would work well and suit me. I've always been very happy with my cuts at Beach, and particularly pleased with how well they grow out, which I think demonstrates the high level of skill from the stylist. I would highly recommend.

   I have been having my hair cut and coloured by Michelle for more than 13 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The knowledge Michelle has is second to none. The salon is so comfortable and friendly it feels like you're going to a friends house. I have been to salons in the past where I've felt out of place but at Beach there's always someone laughing and chatting, equally if you just want to read your magazine you can be left alone. I also had my first ever facial by Elle recently and it was an amazing experience so calming and relaxing. I would recommend her extensive services too
