I had a waxing appointment booked for 5:45 PM and arrived slightly early at 5:30. Unfortunately, the experience felt rushed from the start. I wasn’t greeted or asked for my name—just quickly directed into the treatment room without any real acknowledgment. Once inside, I was told to put my things down and lie on the bed, but there was no effort to make me feel comfortable or explain the process. It felt awkward having to lie down for an arm wax, especially as she was pulling my arms across my chest and above my head in uncomfortable positions. In every other salon I’ve been to, arm waxing is done with the client sitting up, which feels much more natural and less invasive. The waxing itself also felt hurried and poorly executed. The wax was applied unevenly in patchy sections, and I could feel the wooden spatula scraping against my skin, which was quite uncomfortable. From my experience, wax is typically applied in the direction of hair growth and removed against it, but this wasn’t the case here. She waxed with the direction of the hair, which left a significant amount of hair behind—particularly on my arms. She also tugged at my skin harshly without any apology, and I developed a bruise immediately. When she finished, she asked if it was "enough," which I found concerning. A professional service should aim to be thorough without needing the client to point out what was missed. I had to indicate areas where hair was still clearly visible, and even after she went over it again, the technique didn’t improve. I ended up going home and removing the remaining hair myself. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I won’t be returning. I left feeling more self-conscious than when I arrived, which completely defeated the purpose of the visit.
I get my back wax here. Very good. No need to book. They fight against the idea of all small massage units but they are purely beauty and waxing. Very well priced.

I have been going to No 10 for deep tissue massages for several years. Emma and Joy are total professionals and keep the rooms spotless. I had a road traffic accident when I was young and the site of the injury plays up from time to time so I book 90 minutes at No 10 and come out feeling like a new man, I know if I went to see my doctor he would probably give me pain killers, which I prefer to avoid. Much better to use the natural methods that Emma and Joy have been trained in. At least I do not have any issues when I complete my annual aviation medical examination - when most western pain killers raise a red flag.
