   This will definitely be my new go-to barbershop. After leaving my previous barbers in search of a more sophisticated environment where the service and quality truly matched, I’d been trying to book here for a while — it’s always sold out (a good sign!). When I finally managed to get a slot, I was seated with Sully, and from the moment I walked in, I was impressed. I was warmly greeted and offered a coffee or a chilled drink. When I mentioned I’m lactose intolerant, they even offered oat milk — a thoughtful touch that really stood out. Since I arrived a bit early, I had time to relax and take in the vibe before my appointment. Sully took the time to have a proper consultation, listening carefully to what I wanted and offering his professional advice, which was genuinely helpful. Throughout the cut, he checked in at different stages to make sure I was happy with how it was shaping up. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, never awkward, with a friendly local feel. You can tell the team here takes pride in what they do and in creating a great environment. I work hard to deliver authentic customer service in my own job, and I could really see that same ethos here. If you’re thinking about switching barbers, I can’t recommend this place enough — a real asset to Lewes.

   I’ve been going to Aaron for a number of years now and he is by far the best barber I’ve ever had. He is professional and always provides a top class service with incredible attention to detail. He’s a top class bloke and an excellent barber. By far the best barber in Lewes!!

   Always a brilliant cut! I have been having my haircut at Max Oliver Lewes for over 2 years now - including for my pre-wedding haircut - and I have seen three different stylists during that time. Currently Aaron cuts my hair and is reliably fantastic, but all the stylists seem so friendly and helpful.

   The best barbers in Lewes! I've been going to see Aaron for the last 2 years and his attention to detail is like no other. He always delivers a quality haircut and understands everyones hair is individual! When he was on parental leave, the rest of the team stepped in and provided a haircut to the same quality I would expect so I won't be going anywhere else all the time i'm living in Lewes!

   Wow what a fantastic experience. Took my 11 year old son for the first time. I didn't mention that he had attention difficulties, but Aaron tuned right in to him - took his time asking him what he wanted, then throughout kept him focused and took care to give him a really great cut. Would highly recommend and won't be going anywhere else from now on.
