The best curly cut!!! Amanda was so helpful, friendly and welcoming - she fully explained to me everything she was doing and why and shared so many helpful tips and tricks for managing and understanding my curls better. Would highly recommend!!
I had a great first appointment here a few years ago, just a hair cut, but they were lovely. However, I had a hair consultation appointment booked today and I travelled to the salon for this but nobody was there. It was completely shut with blinds drawn. I’d booked time off work to attend so it would’ve been nice to be told if my appointment was cancelled. I waited and called their phone number with no response and still cannot get through. They were really helpful over the phone on my first appointment so not sure what’s gone wrong this time.

She explained to me what she was doing and why, and how to look after my curls properly at home, which I really appreciated. The salon has such a nice feel and is a great space to be in! I felt instantly welcome and finally got a curly cut I love. I will definitely be back - couldn’t recommend enough ☺️
Recently I had the pleasure of having my hair cut and styled by Amanda during my first visit at The Hair and Lounge. Amanda was welcoming, professional, friendly and clearly experienced in cutting curly hair - she actively sought my opinion and preferences during the consultation and I loved the end result. It was an unexpected surprise to be offered a number of style options and she made effort to share her ideas so I could visualise it and make an informed decision. My first time at The Hair and Lounge and I'm so glad I found them. The salon is gorgeous and Lynsey is really welcoming. She spent time discussing my hair and gave me lots of useful advice. Then she worked her magic and rescued my home dye disaster. The colour is natural looking and I'm still blonde! She also really improved the condition and trimmed off just enough without losing the length. Highly recommended. I'll be back!

I literally will not be going anywhere else for my hair ever again! Amanda listened to what I wanted and explained in full what she was going to do, made me feel at home, such a nice, caring person, as are the other staff who work here. Amanda also did my daughters hair just before Xmas and bent over backwards to help us out. If I could give 100 stars I would! Absolutely fantastic service, and now you're stuck with me! (haha) xxx
Met Amanda today, very welcoming and she fitted me in for a very last minute fringe cut! She cut it so well that I'll be returning at the end of the month for a trim off the ends! The salon has a lovely atmosphere and I'd 100% recommend going here!
