   Amazing beard trim and shape by Hilmi. Real attention to detail and a fantastic overall experience with steam, hot towel, razor finishing etc. Not just 5 minutes with the clippers like most barbers. I won't go anywhere else now.

   Pale imitation, based on previous experiences of Turkish barber shops. I asked for the Lewes special service which included hair cut, wet shave, nose wax, ear flaming etc etc etc and it felt like I must have been the first person to have ever asked for it (even though it’s listed on the price list). The feeling was compounded by the very loud and embarrassing running commentary from a waiting customer, who clearly had never been in a Turkish barber shop before and had never seen anyone getting a wet shave or seen ear flaming (not the shop’s fault but made the whole experience very unpleasant). Uncomfortable chairs (for the wet shave especially) and all felt a bit rushed and half hearted. Fine for a basic clipper cut but not if you’re looking for a genuine Turkish barber.

   I've been here a couple of times now and what can I say, each time I have left with a great haircut & beard trim and left feeling very relaxed. The quality of the skills and services provided by the barbers are excellent and not rushed, you are made to feel you are the only person in the shop. All the barbers are very polite and follow your instructions well and thus you end up with the haircut you intended. The barbershop is very clean and modern with a great traditional feel. It's the ideal place for some 'me time'. The Hot Towel after my beard trim was very relaxing and a shoulder and arm massage as well. Its so good to find great service and at a very reasonable price too. Well done and keep up the great work.
