   I took my car here to have a diagnostic on a wheel bearing I ask him to sort a price and to let me know drove 10 minutes back to my mum and I had telephone call with price is quote was £750.00 I almost choke he stated specialist part so I rang every motor factor who surply garage around port talbot the part highest price was £174.00 and hour to do it . Main dealer price was £450 to change wheel hub which comes with new bearing. I recommend everyone to avoid this rip of scamming garage he kept ringing me and I don't except anyone overcharging it a total disgrace and very unprofessional give there industry a bad name why lots of customers don't trust garage like B.Harwood and sons port talbot. This is a honest reviews these naad to be named and shamed

   Avoid at all costs! Used to be a trusted garage, not anymore. Staff only interested in servicing their own cars whilst supposed to be working. Failed to diagnose the issue, charged me for a new battery when not needed. Went back and broke down outside and their attitude was ‘we dont have a recovery truck’ we were literally across the street. Waited for the RAC who instantly diagnosed the problem. Never use again due to the attitude and incompetence of the ‘mechanics’. Sad as their reputation has gone down hill due to the attitude and incompetence of staff. Sad to see, never use again and i urge others to avoid.

   Booked to take car so we can wait for the service. I was given 9am appointment a week off. Turned up on time to be told we should have brought the car in at 8.30am BUT we were told 9am and the book was marked customer waiting. Service was refused unless we left the car there all day! We don't live in port talbot so couldn't get a taxi home. Very rude manner would not recommend!

   Employees have plenty of technical expertise and long-standing experience They were willing to provide honest advice and answer pertinent questions about my car following a negative outcome in relation to a diagnostic/compression test. I was very grateful for this, given I needed to understand the full implications, particularly cost. They seem to be operating with less staff nowadays, and there seems to be some shrinkage in working hours (they were shutting at 4.00 pm on the day I took my car to the garage). Also, they used to work on Saturday mornings, but this is no longer the case. Costs seem fair and would recommend taking your car there.
