   Ordered from this place for years. Literally sooo good!! Idk what the bad reviews are all about but I can tell you they only let me down once, and that was probably over a year ago now. Literally the best Chinese I’ve had for a very long time and on top of that, the staff are always super friendly and helpful when I’ve had to call. Recommended to at least try!

   Eh. Not bad, not great. Tad pricey for the quality. There's probably better chinese takeaways in this area. The crab and sweetcorn soup was super sweet. Could have afforded to put less sugar in and more seasoning. The prawn toast was alright, hard to mess that up. The chicken Chinese curry was iffy. The sauce was tasty, but the mushrooms and onions were chopped way too large and weren't cooked thoroughly. The pork fried rice was pretty tasty. Overall? 2.5-3 out of 5.

   I ordered a Chicken Chow Mein along with some other items and upon receiving the food, I found a strand of hair mixed in with the dish. This was both unpleasant and concerning, as it raises questions about the hygiene practices in place at the establishment.

   This place has had some questionable reviews in the past but don't let this put you off trying. I don't know whether there has been a change of ownership but I have made this a regular stop. Quick service whether delivery or collection. Their Set Meal Deal is a steal in my books, Yung Chow Fried Rice, Duck in Black Pepper Sauce and Crispy WonTons with Sweet and Sour sauce for a very reasonable price. Sauce is flavourful, meat tender and comes with good variation of vegetables to round out the meal. Last time we went they have Siu Mai on offer, if you're a fan of steamed dumplings these are worth picking up, exactly what you expect from an authentic Siu Mai. The only thing that knocks this place is that you can have a differing experience every time you go, your sauce may be more or less thick and with a slightly different flavour. The vegetables in your meal can be different or the amount of meat. Although never at heavy detriment to the meal it can be detract from the meal.

   Extremely disappointed with the service, as someone that suffers with chronic pain in their joints and have recently twisted my ankle (potentially broken it) I was laughed at and belittled over the phone, as they expected me to walk down the road to collect my delivery. I live in a block of apartments and both the restaurant and restaurant driver accused me of "using the same excuse for months" and that they would not meet me at the door. Once managing to collect my order, the driver again questioned the legitimacy of my injury and laughed. As a loyal customer I would have assumed some sort of understanding/ aid would have been accommodated but apparently not.

   Ordered at 7.30pm order arrived at 9.20pm tried to ring and no-one would answer when eventually got food. Which is expensive from here and also have to pay Iver £2 delivery charge. The food was freezing cold even the curry sauce was ice cold to the point I didn't fancy warming it up so had to throw my share away. Rang to complain but as before no one would answer. Would not recommend expensive freezing cold food and take away don't respond either

   Order from here regularly as it always tastes great but the past 2 times the beef chow mein in black bean sauce tasted disgusting and there were no signs of any black ears even used, way too much veg and just tasted really bland. Wouldnt return again now as it's a waste of money in my opinion.

   Everything tasted as if it had been recooked in more oil. Delivery took over an hour. The veg in the sweet and sour was raw and hadn't even seen a pan, there were zero signs of them being cooked. Overpriced, 70% went in the bin

   Over an hour after accepting my order, Golden Wok then cancelled it without explanation. If you're too busy and can't commit, it's very simple- don't accept an order. You don't wait over an hour and then decide to cancel it. Appalling service.
