If like me your car is your pride and joy you'll want a good garage. STR provided a quality customer service, parts and workmanship for a fair price. My car was definitely better after being in for service work. Left me reassured that my car had been looked after by people that cared what they were doing and not like main dealer fitters who just fitted parts at a high price. Were honest and didn't take on upgrade work I enquired about that was outside of their expertise. In summary fair price for quality service. If you want cheap, good luck with whatever you get somewhere else.
I booked STR to do an MOT. The car failed on a sidelight. But, this is a 25 year old Lotus Elise. It's not ........straightforward! What I got was fast, friendly, enthusiastic and efficient service. Brilliant!
Firstly I was directed to STR to help with my car through the club site and was not disappointed. Jamie and the other staff members gave me regularly updates and provided pictures of the upgrade works they were continuing on a daily basis. They were completely transparent with the information and ensured they made the right decisions for their customer. Now I have a perfect stainless steel exhaust system, that sounds perfect. Thank you

They will always offer advice and take care to explain any work that they do. I rely on the team to keep my vehicles in constant use and they will always find time to help out if necessary. It's a long one but please read as I believe people need evidence of how good, caring and supportive this garage is. This garage was recommended by a friend and my goodness they went above and beyond all expectations of any garage. Long story short my car was recovered to this garage after a mechanical failure. It was still under used car warranty so there was a lot of back and forth with the dealer to agree to the fixing solutions and cost. The dealer decided to play the d***head card which meant my car was stuck with STR for nearly 6 weeks. Not once did STR add to my stress or pressure me as they knew it was out of my hands and that I was doing all that I could leasing with the dealer and eventually needing to involve the finance company. Throughout all this they were so caring and supportive, helping me when I was close to breaking at times. Honestly more than I would ever expect from a car garage. Dan (the cockney one as there are two Dans), Sean the owner and the ladies in the office were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. From listening to me, hearing me close to tears to giving me advice to help me carry on fighting. Dan wrote up a long and detailed diagnostics report which has helped me with my claim via the finance company, My car eventually got towed back to the dealer in Portsmouth but I really wished STR were given permission to fix it as I trust them whole heartedly with me and my safety as well as my car health. I will be taking my car back to STR for them to run diagnostics to make sure it's been fixed properly by the dealer (as I don't trust them at all). And I will continue to take my pride and joy BMW there because I know they take pride in their work and look after the customers' safety over everything else. I've been taking my car to STR for it's full 8 years of history and my car before that.... I've just had an MOT done and, as ever, the team were helpful and professional. They went through the couple of issues raised and undertook the repairs promptly. They are always open and honest and advise you accordingly. It's so nice to find a garage I can trust. I will always recommend them highly - they are fabulous!
I have been taking my vehicles to STR for 20 years. First a high performance sports car and now a VW Transporter van. I've always received great friendly service. My vehicles have always gone in for their annual service and MOT. I've also drop my van off there unannounced after breakdowns on several occasions and they have always fitted me in. Qualified and knowledgeable engineers, who can work on an array of vehicles types and manufacturers. Highly recommended.
