   I normally like going to holly wood nails for my gel infills but this time experience was not pleasant at all. I thought I’d go for something different not just one colour as it’s my birthday this month. I showed a picture of what I wanted she said ok I asked how much she give a price all ok. When starting my nails she asked me what shape I said I want the exact same as the picture please. It was then time to start the colours she asked what colour I wanted I said can I have the exact same as the picture please . She gave me the colours and said pick one. I said I’m not really good with colours can you pick one please? So it’s the exact same as the pictures? No she said you pick. I was over whelmed trying to pick a colour asking for help and what does the tech think she replied saying ‘I dont know’. Anyways the finish the result is nothing like the picture I provided the tech it’s total opposite, I then went to pay I was then adv it was more than what was quoted at the start. I asked if I could pay card they said only cash which I’ve always paid card there. I have always gone to holly wood nails for my nails done after my last experience I will never return to the place again.

   I had my nails done here a few times and never found fault until now. I booked an appointment two weeks ago in advance (anointment was made for yesterday) after waiting 45 minutes I still hadn't been seen and I needed this done urgently ready for work on Monday ((my nails needed trimming and gel removed) so I walked out. It seems to me these days they are more concerned with walk ins than those who made appointments. Why bother allowing appointments if this is the service. So i had to go elsewhere for a rescue job after trying to do it myselfand was pleased with the result.

   I’ve been here one other time than today and the service was great. My nails looked amazing. Today i came in to do gel french tip on toes and it was terrible. don’t get me wrong the workers were alright. But the actual nails itself? nothing like I wanted. She put on a base colour that looked far from natural. I asked if she could change the colour to make it less pink because it doesn’t look natural on me and she said the colour she was using was natural. she then told me to pick a colour from the nail book. I was clearly confused as i thought she would recommend or show me what’s typically used as base colours apart from the one she was using. I kept asking for a less pink shade and she kept telling me to find a shade. In the end, after feeling rushed to find a shade, i told her to resume with the original one, that was way too pink for me. this colour pink isn’t natural for all skin tones, and it’s clear that this shop knows nothing about different skin tones and being inclusive for all. Please understand that your one shade of “natural” base colour ISNT natural for everyone.

   Unimpressed went to have gel polish removed and they filed it off instead of using gel removal. My nails are ruined . The salon was like visiting a factory production line. Definitely won't be going there again. Staff not very friendly
