    I had some work done to my car in March 2024 and paid my bill when I picked up my car. Then in October I got an email saying I haven't paid my bill so sent proof of payment and they replied say it was an error someone had a similar name to me. Today I have received a letter that I had to sign and it's an invoice from March 2024 with £105.74 late charges. This bill has been paid so stop sending me bills.     I took my Maserati ghibli to JLH for a leaking steering rack as I was told they were good, when I saw the state of the work area and office I wasn't sure it was a good idea, I was quoted a price to removing and refit the rack, and I arranged to have it collected and overhauled by a specialist, when I collected the car I called JLH to say the steering very heavy and was told it was normal, well I know enough for that not to be correct, the next day I left for france but had to keep filling the power steering reservoir and spent £40on fluid, I took it to my local French garage and put in on the ramps and we found the leak, it was coming from the joint on the rack, when it was dismantled it was an old over tightened copper washer that JLH had not replaced when fitting the rack, standard practice, even for a novice,I paid £90 for the repair, system bleed and new fluid, and JLH have not replied to my calls, email or invoice, they left screws out of the protective under sheild, it is so disorganised as a business and a work space, I wouldn't recommend JLH to anyone absolute rubbish, no wonder I usually do my own repairs

    Saved the day. We broke down whilst on holiday and we used recovery to get us back to the campsite. We found Jeremy on Google and he was more than helpful We explained the issue and he advised what it was. Within a couple if hours of the call, he came to pick up the vehicle and took the car away the repair was done within the time he quoted and cost. Nice friendly guy who saved the holiday. Would highly recommend and if we were ever in the area in need again would definitely use this business.

    I MOT'd here last November 2022 after moving to the area. Jeremy brought my car back to me after the MOT(not pre-arranged) I was surprised that he had brought it back to my home, which at the time I felt was a nice gesture. I asked for the invoice and how much I owed. He said I think it was about £280, I'll email you the invoice. I've always been given the invoice when collecting my car at my previous garage and paid there and then, the price would have been quoted fully prior to work being carried out. A couple of weeks later still no invoice. I messaged to say I had not had the invoice and was told it would be resent. Then in May 23 an invoice finally arrived for £416.29! I emailed Jeremy asking why the price increase and why it had taken so long to get the invoice to me. He said the email had bounced back but their system does not inform them of bounced back emails! He said he had put £300 in his diary for the cost of the MOT but that had not included the MOT charge or labour. I just find this is a very odd way to run a business and not clear with customers about the cost of the MOT. I noticed within the reviews that someone else has had a similar situation. Jeremy seems like a lovely person and I'm sure the work carried out is of a high standard. Just be sure to ask for a clear quote, including labour costs before work is carried out.

    Took my car for an MOT, and without notifying me they started work on my rear brakes which were apparently seized. I later managed to contact them and told them I expected to be asked if I wanted the work done, but as they were now already in the process, to carry on. I was given an estimate of 350-400 pounds. After further delays I collected the car, and eventually was sent a bill for 637 pounds. I replied to them twice by email questioning the bill but got no reply, so I called them and was told there were extra parts needed. I reluctantly paid the bill. I was not even shown the old parts taken off, which I would normally expect, so just have to believe them. The car only cost 800 pounds. I won't be back.

    I was so relieved to stumble across JLH autos when my exhaust fell apart. I turned up unannounced and worried I would be stuck with no transport over an hour from home with an appointment to get to but staff were so friendly and reassuring and quickly juggled things to squeeze me in. Everything was repaired in less than an hour and they even checked all my tyre pressures and reset a light on the dash that had been annoying me for about 2 years without me asking! Very reasonably priced too. If I lived closer I'd definitely be a loyal customer after such excellent service. So very grateful!

    Took my car in as I had sticking break caliper/piston. Rang Jeremy at 10am to let him know the problem, I had the car to him at 10:20am and he returned the car to me at work (as i work locally in Town) at 3pm with the new breaks all done! Now that's what you call effieciency even delivering the car back to me.Super service, highly recommend.
