Great service received from the dentist today ,as I went as a emergency patient. Everything was explained to me what needed to be done to my tooth ,gave great advice on looking after it

Really bad experience with this dentist! My husband has been in terrible pain for weeks. Each time he went to see Dr Jenna Mills she said she didn’t know the cause. He thought the pain was coming from one tooth when in fact it was from another. She only checked the one tooth and did an xray. I was told it could be deferred pain and the dentist should have also checked the other teeth. He called back and asked for her to check his other teeth. He requested an X-ray and she found an infection beneath the tooth. Still could not see any problems with the actual tooth. Had to pay twice for 2 appointments even though she should have found it first time. Woke up the next day in excruciating pain. Called the dentist as an emergency but they said they could not fit him in and he’d have to keep calling everyday until someone could see him. Very unhelpful. Managed to get an emergency appointment at a different dentist who straight away diagnosed a crack in my tooth where the nerve had been exposed (resulting in an infection). Would never go back to Plummers!
I was treated with courtesy and professionalism throughout my appointment from arrival to completion on my first visit. Dr Shah listened to my dental background and understood the reasons why I'd not visited a dentist since the retirement of my previous dentist in E Kent some 8 years ago. He provided constructive advice and explanation on how I may improve personal care of my teeth and gums, which are in good order. I would not hesitate to recommend the practice to friends, I was very impressed and pleased. Thank you.
I arrived mistakenly for an appointment which by mutual agreement had previously been cancelled Coincidentally I had an urgent situation that needed immediate attention. The receptionist notified Dr Shah. Who kindly fitted me in around his busy schedule. May I take this opportunity to thank Dr Shah and his team for going above and beyond
I had an emergency appointment today, booked on same day. I have had X-rays and treatment to resolve the pain I am experiencing. Dentist and hygienist were calm kind and efficient. Receptionists were really nice too. Excellent customer care and service.
I would highly recommend this practice for nhs and private patient care. From the excellent customer service and a very helpful and understanding practice manager, to the extremely professional care given from the dentists and such good aftercare and advice. I was extremely apprehensive after being with another practice for many years and going from private to nhs care plus having anxiety and mobility issues but I would confidently direct anybody here. I’m also going to book for some work with their private practice, faces and smiles at Thorpe with no worries at all. Outstanding on all counts
I am incredibly grateful for the dedication and professionalism of all the team at Costessey Practice. The reception staff always seem to be helpful and friendly, (regardless of how difficult that role must be at times!). The dental team are very personable and have treated my 6 year old (I was specifically impressed) and the rest of us very respectfully and in a way that puts us at ease. Was seen today with an emergency appointment. Dr Shah explained what she was doing throughout the procedure and she had a very calming and friendly manner, which really helped as I get quite anxious when having dental treatment. One thing that could be improved is the booking system. I was told to phone at 8.40 and I tried 12 times to get through but each time as soon as the call was put through I was hung up on, probably as the receptionist was on another line. Maybe a system where you go into a queue would work better? But once I got through I managed to get an appointment. So all good.
Fantastic dentist surgery. My dentist Biran goes above and beyond to look after me with my ongoing treatment due to medical conditions. He is patient and extremely knowledgeable. He is also brilliant with my daughter who now has no fear of going to the dentist! Reception staff are friendly and efficient.
