   Just bought some boxes to store the myriad of mixed screws purchased from the same establishment. You know, you want 10 of a type and you have to buy a bag of mixed screws. Hopefully will find a use for the rest of them

   Pitiful level of customer service here on 4/10. Spoke to an assistant to order a door for delivery, asked about a frame to go with it, but the assistant who helped me told me that he didn't know anything about them. He continued that the person who did know was busy on the wood cutting machine. Eventually I only ordered the door. Arranged a provisional delivery date as I wasn't sure of the dates that I'd be available. Aforementioned assistant used a delivery date two weeks in advance, but then informed me that if I phone the B&Q Helpline number that I could change it to a date that would suit me. When I phoned the Helpline, they informed me that I could only delay a delivery date and not bring it forward. Not happy that I have to wait 19 days for a delivery of one door.

   They stock a good product range, staff are helpful and prices reasonable, BUT if you have a problem with a product they are a nightmare to deal with. We have had an issue with worksurfaces warping and an induction hob which has gone wrong within warranty. In the case of the worksurfaces they did everything they could to try to blame us for the problem, and it took about three months to sort it, dealing with a call centre which sounded like it was in India. Nothing against Indians but difficult to understand ! The hob issue is ongoing, two engineers came out, first one didn't seem to have a clue what he was doing and wrote a report that inferred we had interfered with the internals, which we hadn't, second one said it was unrepairable. We are trying to get it sorted with the store but they don't seem to understand the replacement procedure! Been without a working hob for four weeks so far!

   Lost count of the number of times I have visited this shop and they have NOT had what I went for. Despite advertising it as 'in stock'. I only go there as a last resort. Generally speaking a lot of things are of middling quality unless you buy branded products and more and more frequently items are becoming on line purchases only. I'll use Wickes or a local independent hardware shop whenever possible.

   Very good. Just wish there were more tills open with humans serving. Had to get help a couple of times and although this happened quickly it would have been easier if we had a real human being in the first place!

   Went for paint so a friend could paint the kitchen for us. Great choice of colours and well priced for white and cream we opted for the colour grey well pleased with how its turned out.

   Very poor now they have changed it all to self service, created so much confusion for many there which created queues. Difficult to find staff to assist with what you needed.
