One of my favourite venues for theatre shows and performances. Building is great although the stairs on the balcony’s can be a bit dangerous if you don’t watch your footing! I’ve seen 2 tumbles now! So if you’re unsteady on your feet it’s best to book the lower floor

Fantastic traditional style theatre with some bargain seat prices from £15 when we attended to watch the steps musical, here and now. The upper gallery seats were small and would be very uncomfortable if it was full, thankfully it was quiet on our Friday night show so we had lots of places to move around. The drinks prices - we got a coffee ☕️ were very reasonable, only £2. So was shocked when I went back later to get 2 ice creams and it was £9. Very odd pricing. The show was outstanding. If I visited again I would defo folk out for one of the box seats as they were real free standing seats and would make the whole experience outstanding. The staff were very friendly and it has a great atmosphere. Also it’s located in the centre of the city with lots of cafes and restaurants outside. It also had some blue badge parking right outside in the “pedestrianised” area. Uber said you couldn’t get picked up right outside the theatre, but the car came right there which was fab when it was windy and raining.

Great venue! Service is incredible. We booked the ambassador lounge experience and would absolutely do it again as it includes a private loo, a drink on the house, crisps and a top up of each during the interval. We also had ice cream pre-ordered for the interval as well.

Gorgeous little theatre. I have to choose my search carefully as quite tall and not all seats have enough leg room, but that just shows it's authentically old! Staff always friendly and helpful. Love to book a matinee for easier travel home afterwards. Always a good day out. Definitely recommend!

Lovely old theatre. Great atmosphere. Lots of stairs if you are in the upper circle.
