   Went to buy a large suite we had previously looked at. Got ignored by all staff for an hour so went home and ordered online instead. Numerous staff walked past and looked at us dismissively. Sadly, the only time we did get spoken to was by a very helpful lad the first time we went just to look.

   When we look for new furniture, we simply drive out to DFS, Swansea. We've had sofas and suites from DFS and Northern Upholstery, for over 35 years, they always seen to last well and we have never had to endure overly keen salespeople. On this occasion, we had a good idea of what we needed, so when we were politely approached by one young lady, who approached us after a few minutes, introduced herself to us and it was a real delight to be pointed in the right direction, showed us a couple of features that we probably would not have noticed ourselves, then given time and space to browse, without any pressure. When we had narrowed our choices down, we asked her for some attention, to be able to finally select and make our purchase. This is how sales can be made and why we keep returning.

   One of the first places you might think of for sofa shopping and for good reason as there are a lot of sofas here on display. Unfortunately, none of them seemed to meet our requirements and did not seem to be of as good a quality as some other retailers (non-sofa specialists). Prices seemed average for other places we visited. On our visit we beat the rush so no customers and lots of staff who were happy enough to leave us walk around without bothering us (a positive for me). One staff member was later very accommodating by showing my young child all the buttons she could push on various sofas to keep her entertained. Worth a visit if sofa shopping, just to try them out in person.

   Came into store this morning , nobody else was instore . I sat and measured the items I was interested in and looked at the fabrics . Nobody came to assist me or even aknowledged I was there. I left after about 30 minutes of no assistance and no sofa ordered :(

   AVOID. Ordered a sofa in July with an 8 week delivery. That date came and went. Lied to and told a different story every time. Even told on two separate occasions the sofa was on the way to the distribution centre and to expect a call in 48 hrs. You have to chase them for any communication. I asked for a call from the Swansea manager to cancel my order. Got a call from Tristan in the Haverfordwest branch. Was assured I would receive the sofa on the 11/11/22 and he was in fact going to call me on the 1st to give me an update. Just like the sofa.. non-existent! I'm now told the end of the month. 8 weeks now 18 weeks and counting! Honestly go to SCS or Leekes!! DFS have zero accountability and will say whatever they need to to get you off the phone!
