“Every cloud has a silver lining”. This is so much true for what happened with the Hever Festival theatre. After a devastating fire a couple of years ago, the management has done everything possible to rebuild the premises, and continue with the marvellous summer festival - in almost impossible conditions. However, now a days the new open theatre looks amazing, has a large see-through roof and the seating is as comfortable as ever. Combined with a choice of either luxury dining in the Pavilion near the lake or a picnic anywhere on the grounds, if one so wishes, it is a marvellous place to spend a long afternoon and evening. But that’s not the only plus! The event promoters for this lovely venue have done outstanding job engaging highly professional, highly skilled, super talented artists, musicians, singers, actors, comedians, entertainers. There hasn’t been one performance that has fallen below par. Each event leaves so much joy and pleasure! Each performance is provided by extremely well rehearsed, polished, professional acts. Another plus - the volunteers. It’s rare nowadays to come to a venue where the ushers, helpers and ticket booth checkers are so kind, calm, well trained and helpful! Well done! And if the British wether behaves, each summer night spent at the Festival theatre can turn easily into a forever memorable event. The new building relies on the government’s and the public support.

Excellent showing of the Terrible Tudors for both the adults and children in the audience. Just over an hour long which is perfect and the two performers managed to hold one’s attention and keep the pace with a fairly frenetic script which was in places quite hilarious

We spent a wonderful family evening at the Hever Festival theatre, watching the hilarious and engaging solve-along - Murder She Wrote. The setting for the theatre was the beautiful Hever Castle Grounds. The evening started off with a picnic by the stunning lake and carried on with one of the most original and funny pieces of theatre we’ve seen in some time. Even if you’re not a fan of the TV show you will still love Tim Benzie’s amazing solo performance and have a brilliant night out.

I visited this amazing Theatre and Castle grounds last week, and had such a fabulous time that I didn't want to leave. It truly is 'The BEST Theatre setting in the WORLD' and we can't wait to step onto that stage!!

2 really lovely evenings here, over the bank holiday weekend. The sun was shining, the grounds are beautiful and it was so nice to get out. Would definitely go again.

A beautiful place to walk around pre-performance, the gardens are amazing. The theatre itself is outdoor seating (bring your own cushions, the seats are hard or pay a £1 to borrow a hard looking seat pad!) And bring something to put on incase you get cold.
