This business does not respect working hours. Three times I tried to visit them, but they were either finishing early or not working at all.
What a genuine find Rudi has been! Not only is he a true master of the cobbler's craft, but he is also a genuinely wonderful human being. I brought in three pairs of shoes to fix - one of which I was sure was beyond repair. He explained my options clearly, balancing what needed to be done with my budget, and the end result is exceptional. Thanks, Rudi - I’ll be back with more shoes very soon!
In my opinion, the only true traditional cobbler left in Beds and beyond and I have tried them all. Just had my Cheaney Tan Derby's repaired leather long soles, leather heels quarter rubber tips. Soles stitched. Fabulous workmanship !!
Always fantastic service from Rudi. He cut my front door keys after another well-known key-cutting company told me it couldn’t be done. They were ready the same day and at a reasonable price. He has just re-soled some boots for me and has done a brilliant job. I will not go to anyone else now for keys and shoe repairs. I am delighted to support a great local business. And he has a beautiful dog too ❤️
Parted with my Church’s for a week as they were in desperate need of a re-sole. Rudi’s workmanship was absolutely fantastic. Got my shoes back with dare I say, better than the original leather bottom. Really great guy too and extremely knowledgeable on all things shoes! Highly recommend.

Amazing service received today, couldn’t be happier! Had a pair of boots where the heel tip had worn down to the point that the pieces of metal were exposed and the fabric was then consequently detaching too. Popped them in and it was sorted by the time I came back after a little bit of lunch. Very friendly and it only cost £9 which was a pleasant surprise as for some reason I was expecting to be paying £25+ (have never had shoes repaired before). Will definitely be coming back with any other shoes that need repairing and 100% recommend :)
A friend recommended it and ever since I've always come here to get my keys cut. Sometimes it takes just about a minute to have them, super fast! I have also asked for help in the past when accidentally left my keys inside. Now I always make here several copies just in case! Great customer service and prices. It's one of those places in Bedford that needs to be supported, 100% recommended.
Rudi re-soled and heeled two pairs of my favourite Loake’s. He converted my Brogue boots from smooth to ‘4x4 walking’ and I’m delighted with them! Top quality workmanship, I thoroughly recommend him.
