We took our 3 year old grandson to the Challenge Woods at The Nest today for the first time, it was a lovely sunny day and it was late morning. He really enjoyed himself, but we were disappointed that the area hadn't been maintained, the slides were wet and dirty with mud and bird droppings and leaves everywhere which made the wooden walk way very slippery. My husband went to get a cloth from reception to clean the slides and he was then told a groundsman would be out to clean and tidy the area. ( He never arrived) I know this is winter but when you pay I would presume the area should be kept clean and well maintained at all times.

Continuously improving facilities for all the up and coming football youngsters in Norfolk. Good quality 3G and grass pitches. Residential accommodation for visiting teams (many international). Seating at the 'stadium pitch' only. Centrally located with good road links (& air links - it's next to the airport!). All the new facilities and buildings have been completed, and an on-site shop has opened early 2025. There is ample car parking now and with redesigned, safer entrance, onto the A140. There is a good café for the parents and children alike, though some items may be considered a little overpriced.

Great facilities, loads of 3g football pitches, gym, cafe. There is also a big outdoor adventure playground for children with climbing wall, slides and zipwire. There's also a little toddler section as well. Great for Birthday parties in the nicer weather.

24.09.2023 First time here, went to Challege Woods. Have to book online £3 children, £2 adults, collect wristbands at the cafe. Free parking. Lots of picnic benches and shade. Wooden play area with big children zip wire and a small children's zip wire (with a seat). Slide, ladders, sand pit. Cheap afternoon in fresh air. Also several football pitches for matches.

The Nest is located at Holt Rd, Horsford, Norwich NR10 3AQ. Cafe shop is located inside the recreational centre with toilets. Plenty of car parking spaces are available, so you may drop off your car and go directly to the Cafe and watching football match free of charge at the same time. Plenty of seating area. Why not come and have a coffee there.

What a fantastic place. We held a kids party here and the staff were very attentive, the facilities were immaculately clean. Food and drinks were provided speedily and were of good quality.

With the grandchildren for 2hrs at Challenge Woods at The Nest, excellent play area, zip wire, climbing wall, tree house and many more play equipment all built around trees. They enjoyed their time there, in my opinion i was surprised there wasn't anything for the younger children such as swings or a slide so they could have a lovely time.
