The front counter staff are totally rude and arrogant and claimed the surgery hadn’t put my repeat prescription across. So they told me to go over and sort it with the surgery for the surgery to say they did it 5 days prior! So I went back into the pharmacy just for the lady to have it on the counter! She just didn’t look properly and tried blaming the surgery. Totally incompetent and no apology!

When ever I go to Chapel Street Pharmacy the staff are always Happy ,Cheerful and most of all Very Helpful. If your prescription not made up, they are always willing to get it done. Very professional ,always worth useing.

To put it simply this is the most unprofessional and disrespectful pharmacy i have ever been to. Firstly the 1st time i went in there about 3 months ago all of they lady’s were just stood around eating rope sweets, not even hiding the fact they were doing so and they most definitely didn’t wash their hands before actually doing their job and helping the customers. Secondly they never actually have your prescriptions and if they do they are always late or it’s half. Thirdly, they NEVER answer the phone i even called it while i was the only person in the store to see if it was just because they were busy but nope, they just ignore it unless it’s an 01273 number!! (i know this because after being told i couldn’t get my prescription i had to go all the way to boots in brighton to get it and they called to ask them to release my prescription and they actually answered). The communication is just shocking and the lack of care and understanding between the staff and patients is just something you would never expect, if you have any sort of disability or are of a different gender / sexual orientation, i would highly recommend you stay away from here to save your self from the embarrassment the staff make you feel.

Went to collect urgent prescription on Monday told to collect on Tuesday, went jn Tuesday only had half prescription told to come back wednesday on return told i needed to come back an hr later due to having to go throughproducts; really frustrated at this point as my partner could not move due to pain and i had left my 4month old with him thinking i would get meds and return home; explained urgency and ended up buying the product due to constantly being told to come back also on return an hr later told products had not come through. They took my number and asked GP to change prescription to a different product. Thursday received a phonecall stating GP had sent prescription to different pharmacy and they would let me know when/if the products arrive. I have never been spoken to or been more annoyed at a pharmacy and how they handled the situation; as all other reviews state the older lady is rude and abrupt. Will now be getting prescriptions from elsewhere.

Nice staff, but the place is a mess. Physically and operationally. Ie, contrast to previous comments about lunch being 12.30 to 1.30, I come down today and the place is shut for 1.30-2.30. 6 people waiting outside at 14.35 when I returned from a walk. Coming from Peacehaven, I had to wait 20+5 minutes over for them to open. This is the second time I've had to wait 15+ mins, the first time was maybe my mistake as the prescription wasn't produced. It does say 7 days to be ready... Collecting on behalf of a patient it would be nicer to see the shop looking a bit better. Paint peeling outside and limited stock inside. Shame because I use saltdean and peacehaven Well myself and they look much cleaner.

Amazing service. The pharmacist was worried about a medication my Dr prescribed. He phoned me after a few days to find out how I was doing. He was kind, patient and very informative. The receptionist is always polite, efficient and helpful. First class service all round.

Awful experience, went with a prescription which included four items that were identical and on the same prescription and was told I had to pay for four prescription fees. Refused to pay and looked up the guidance online which clearly showed I had to only pay a single prescription fee. Printed said guidance off and took in and the sunglasses wearing pharmacist said "you said you were going to another pharmacy....go to another pharmacy!!!" Boots honoured the single prescription price. The sunglasses wearing pharmacist would be ideal for running a flat roof pub!
