I couldn't recommend this pharmacy more. During a medication shortage a couple of years ago, they were the only pharmacy in the area kind enough to spare what little stock they had. The staff are always polite, relaxed and genuinely helpful. The head pharmacist, Maria, is an absolute gem - I spoke to her recently about my anxiety and she took the time to sit with me, listen, and reassure me. The level of care really means a lot. By far the friendliest and most understanding pharmacy I've encountered, especially for students given their location near the university. Thank you so much to Maria and the whole team - happy holidays!

Absolutely crap, I’ve had an infection in my armpit for months and needed some antibiotics which I should of had on Friday, I’m now expected to go all weekend with poison seeping out my armpit because they don’t stock basic antibiotics??? Unbelievable

Always a positive experience at this branch of KAMSONS. Great delivery service. Helpful and efficient staff. Plus expert flu vaccine application, no sign of entry, no pain and no swelling. Very satisfied customer.

Terrible staff communication, constantly I called them they told me one thing like I can book my flu vaccine on a Tuesday, then when I go there they told me not I have to come back another day next week even though I confirm in the telephone one week before. Then for my repeat prescription they told me is it ok to have repeat and pick up 2 days later, then when I pick up they told me no cause I have to re booked with the GP before, when previously the surgery staff instructed me to directly ask the prescription to pharmacy. I am not sure why the staff contradicts so much and they constantly miscommunicate to customers

I booked my pfeizer vaccine online and was directed to Kamsons. When I got there I was told they were only offering pfeizer as boosters and I informed the lady administering the vaccines I opted for pfeizer on the nhs site as a personal preference and no other vaccine. I was told that's fine it won't be a problem and I should wait my turn and so I waited for another half an hour. When it was my turn the lady administering the vaccines then tells me unfortunately she won't be able to give me the vaccine unless it is a booster but that I can get Moderna instead. This was a waste of my time because she could have told me this the moment I walked in and I could have gone elsewhere and not waited 2 hours just to be given an ultimatum. Very disorganised and unprofessional. The lady checking us in however was very delightful, apologetic and helpful.

This is a great little chemist. The staff are always friendly and if you need any advice then the pharmacist will always spend a few moments with you. They have a private little room where you can go and discuss things in private. If you go to the GP surgery just across the road in the Avenue then they can send your prescription directly over to them so when you arrive your prescription is being made up. This pharmacy also delivers locally for free if you are unable to go there in person. The prices for non prescription items are quite reasonable and it saves a trip into town. I have been using this pharmacy for years and never had any trouble. If on the off chance they don't have what you need then they will order it for you to pick up the next day. Also it's very convenient to get to as there is a bus stop directly outside serving the center of town. There is limited free parking just along the road just past the bus stop. This is part of the Kamsons chain and have quite a few other branches in the areas. They open until 6:30pm weekdays. So if you need a reliable chemist and it's in your area then look no further. I am giving it five stars for an excellent service.
