Really friendly staff made me feel welcome and relaxed. My optician did a thorough examination of my eyes as did the optics staff and everything was explained very clearly to me.
I always find the staff are extremely friendly, polite and helpful, some of the nicest people I speak to. On top of that, the store itself is always clean, spacious and well lit as well as being easy to find. Also, I received plenty of reminders of my appointment via email, messages and even phone calls. Overall, very pleased

I was worried about a recent event with my eyes so phoned specsavers and a member of staff asked very thorough questions and gave me an appointment for the same day. I was seen straight away and had a very thorough check up and the results were explained to me in detail, was given a leaflet about it and reassured I could come back anytime if I was worried. All the staff I saw were very friendly and helpful.
Went to the Ammanford branch of Specsavers and very happy with the service I received from the pre-test examination of my eyes to the optician who tested my eyes to the friendly, knowledgeable and helpful members of staff who assisted with the choice of frames. Returned to the store a few days later to have the frames adjusted which they did with no problem. Very happy with the service received. Thank you to ALL the staff.
I had an amazing experience at Ammanford Specsavers! I was sent from Carmarthen to Ammanford due to them being more experienced in the condition I was diagnosed with. From the moment I got there they went absolutely above and beyond for my care. Gavin was incredibly helpful, friendly and reassuring. He and the staff even allowed time after closing to make sure that I had everything I needed for my treatment. I have now made a move to Ammanford Specsavers even though it is further for me to travel with the reassurance that I will be looked after incredibly well. I don't normally write reviews but Gavin and his team so deserve to be recognised as a great opticians
I had a test March 2021, paid £222.50. Less than 18 months later my glasses were falling apart plus Covid had deteriorated my vision. I booked another appt July 2022 which I paid for, I was advised to try varifocals to stop swapping my glasses. Paid £282. When I collected them, I said that I couldn’t use them. Advised to give them time. Called back a month later and advised to make an appt to see the manager. I met her in sept. I was given a new pair of glasses, more compatible to my lenses. I collected them I wasn’t pleased as I couldn’t use them. I was told to give them time. I went in again and noticed a bold “NO REFUND” written across my notes !! I knew at that instance that I wasn’t going to get anywhere. So 540.50 pounds out of pocket, 21 months later I still cannot see. I’m will never use Specsavers again!! Plus I have heard from many, many people with the same complaint from the same branch. Fabulous treatment, UNTIL you dare to complain or try and get a refund !!
The worst opticians, don’t go!! Unhelpful rude staff. Be warned if you are buying anything as they will say you have an outstanding balance for months
Thank you for all your help and assistance. The service I received from several members of staff was top notch. They couldn't do enough to help me and assisted with a change of mind too. The new staff there are fabulous and service was 110%
