I used to love coming here but after last night I don't think I'll ever return. £9 entry was obscene for such a paltry offering of lukewarm covers, overpriced drinks and rude service. The music here used to be the main draw but what a fall from grace it was last night. Id excitedly brought my little sister for her first time and was amped to hear the normally stellar house band, but whoever was on yesterday was unpolished and unpleasant to listen to, the venue was more than half empty, and the bar manager was rude and manipulative, extracting as much money from everyone as possible. Used to love it here, will not be returning.

Had the most amazing night at Casablanca on Saturday night! I must admit the outside of the club didn't look too promising but once inside it really didn't matter because of the fantastic live music. There was a young singer with a guitar in the free bar area, who had a great voice and got us all singing along. Then we went downstairs to the large bar area (got discounted entry for £7 instead of £9) and saw an amazing band - female singer with an awesome voice and fantastic keyboard, lead guitar, bass guitar and drummer. They sang a real mixture of songs from ABBA, Justin Bieber, Beyonce to Chappel Roan and the crowd loved it all! It's been a long time that myself and my friends have seen such a quality live act and the atmosphere in the club was great too - everyone having a good time! A truly memorable night for our special weekend in Brighton!

Great fun other than the victim blaming!! Long story short, I basically got blamed by a bouncer for the way I acted during a spiking incident even though I do have solid evidence it was a spiking. Got told this was my last chance to get in and just to “not get close to anybody”… in a packed club? One of my favourite clubs but really killed my vibe

I was so excited to enter the club but the guards stopped me asking for physical ID. I did show my BRP but since it was expired I couldn’t get inside. I understand it’s new rule and everything is online now but I offered to show them my online government verification as well but still they didn’t let us in. How can this be my fault now? We came from so long and treated like this. Not worth it.

Many a great night spent at this venue, tequila, jazz and legs that hurt the next day from some interesting dance moves.

A decent night but does lack a little bit of rizz. The queue was also disgustingly slow but despite this, once inside me and my compatriots had a whale of a time.

Really cute, small pub, and the live music was fun! (They also clean up spillages and/or throw up really quickly so that’s a plus!)

I have never been to Casablancas, myself and a mixed group of 6 celebrating a 40th and 50th were refused entry. We are not rowdy and mostly Brighton resident and the nameless bouncer seems to have turned us away because one of us was tall with a shaved head, who incidently had joined us later qnd was relatively sober; We vouched for him but he was refused entry... all I can say is the door has a weird vibe and I am giving one star in my review to the door staff; maybe the venue inside is as good as they say, but the strange door folk definitely judge based on which ever way their flag is blowing..

Pros Great music awesome djs and live great bands Great atmosphere Cons Pricey Dirty toilets and sticky floors. Not much space. Too hot 4 out of 5 because of the music otherwise the score would be a lot lower
