great food, great vibes and friendly staff. Never been before but staff was very willing to answer all my questions. No complaints on the decor its all very british and pub like. we had mains and desserts, both was top notch, delivered fast and hot, our biggest gripe would be portion sizes but most restaurants we eat at suffer from the same problem. We definitely would return but would love to see something more adventurous on the menu as its pretty much the same as most pubs

Stopped over at the restaurant at the end of a few days away. Was a great way to end our trip. Menu had a great choice and the atmosphere was very welcoming and pleasant. Food was delicious and all made room for some deserts and coffees! Will definitely make a return visit. Thank you for an enjoyable lunch.

Lovely afternoon having a sunday roast with my daughter! Atmosphere of the pub is amazing... so welcoming and cozy, we had a brilliant seat that felt quite personal and cozy. Love that the have a game corner that has so many different game... Food was really tasty - my daughter was missing the cheese on her garlic bread she asked for and we were charged for it. As well with the kids ice cream it was meant to come with sauce and a wafer but came with neither and for £5.25 thought it was a bit poor but didnt ruin our day we just asked for the sauce to be put on. Roast was lovely lots of veg and the potatoes were nice too. We will definitely be going back.

We stopped by for dinner for the first time after driving past this place many times — and it did not disappoint! The food was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious, especially for those who enjoy rich, flavorful dishes. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Service was great, and there were lots of promotions going on too. We’ll definitely be back.

I booked a table at The Wheatsheaf for their Fish Night, and it did not disappoint! I opted for the mussels from the fish counter, and they were absolutely delicious. The sauce was packed with flavour—rich and well-balanced, but not overly creamy—just the perfect combination. The evening was made even better by Tamas, who provided exceptional service, making sure everything was just right. A truly wonderful dining experience—I’ll definitely be back!

I was in the catering business for years having catered for European Union. There’s no doubt this place is a country pub offering delicious, locally sourced ingredients. What sums it up for me was the Beef Wellington how well it’s done. Not many restaurants and pubs cater this English traditional dish. The portions are huge, the place is relaxing and the staff bend their back for you. I left my red scarf over there and one of the staff members remembered me when I’ve only been there once. It’s no doubt they have built a close community vibe with their customers which you don’t find in chained restaurants. We come all the way from Watford just to have a meal in this place. Absolutely beautiful place indeed

Food was really nice and great selection on the menu but the service although friendly was super slow even with the restaurant being quiet. Took 30mins for our drinks to arrive (after food) then we had ordered coffee with the desserts but they never came and we was charged for them. As it took 15 mins for the bill to arrive after we asked we didn’t have the energy to bring it up as just wanted to go home
