I just wanted to say THANK YOU! Not only you have these great classes for the kids, but you also have these amazing opportunities for them to see shows, that I, as as single mum, can't take them to. You honestly don't know how much it means and I am ever so grateful for that. Thank you so very much!
My daughter joined ThirdSpace in 2023 on a recommendation from her school drama teacher (it was still Windmill Acting at the time) and this wonderful school has lived up to our hopes! She has been thriving, now in her third year, and is so passionate about drama she also wants to study it at college. ThirdSpace has helped her learn the craft and hone her skills, but also feel part of a theatrical family. Would highly recommend for any teenager suffering with social anxiety but who is creative and in search of connection!
I highly recommend Third Space - both my children have attended their drama groups over the last 7 years and it has been a such a rich, nurturing experience for both of them. We are lucky to have Third Space nearby, the atmosphere is always welcoming and relaxed, great for their confidence - they love it, plus the high standard of work created for the shows has been such a pleasure to watch! and in professional theatre spaces.
My daughter joined Third Space about 4 years ago and absolutely loves it. She has made fantastic friends, has performed in amazing shows, and learnt confidence in a wonderful environment of support and diversity. I can't recommend it enough. The team are dedicated and endeavour to give the young people the best experience possible. It really is a very special group.
My son joined in 2015 and was so fortunate to find this excellent theatre group for young people. All of the wonderful classes, stage combat and productions! (I particularly enjoy the outdoor productions). Individuality and diversity is supported as the students create their own work with freedom to explore ideas in a safe and tolerant space. We couldn’t have anticipated the amazing challenges, opportunities and experiences that this would bring, including being fortunate enough to achieve professional acting roles. As well as Tanushka’s incredible creative skills, she has always been so understanding, kind and supportive. The teachers have been very generous with their time mentoring my son. Particular thanks to Denise Evans , Graham Shackell and Angela El-Zeind. I have really enjoyed the journey as well, it isn’t just the child who benefits, but the whole family.
My 15 year old daughter loves WYA and being involved in creating thoughtful and challenging pieces of theatre. Wonderful opportunities for expression and collaboration.... really pleased we found it!
My Daughter has been with windmill young actors since she was 7 she is now nearly 15 and still loves it as much as when she started, it is great that she can stay with WYA as she progresses with her Drama
WYActors has provided my daughter with a wonderful place to be creative and express herself freely for the last 6 years. She has thoroughly enjoyed all the performances she's been part of, some of them she has contributed some writing to also, which has also boosted her confidence as a writer. She is in the senior group now and I am amazed to see how far she has come with her acting, and how Tanushka has let her find her own voice with her gentle guidance. As a parent, it's also fantastic to be surprised by the magical performances that Tanushka and all the WYActors team craft with love, brilliancy and patience. I am so happy my son joined the Windmill Young Actors at the beginning of 2017. It’s a safe, creative and inspiring space that caters to kids with incredible and huge talents as well as those who prefer a smaller role. They seem to work together harmoniously and non-judgementally and every input, big or small, always seems welcomed and appreciated. I can honestly say that sending my son to WYActors was the best decision for him, he is quite socially awkward (by his own admission). This group has given him purpose, brought him out of his shell and given him confidence, he is a much happier young lad.
