Enjoyed a lovely tour of the Great Hospital, it really is beautiful. If you are interested in local history you will love this. The tour lasted around 90 mins and was led by John, a warm and informative host. Well worth a visit.
I have lived in Norwich most of my life but was unaware of the non corporate charity, The Great Hospital in Bishopsgate. Booked the 1.30hr tour and found it really interesting. Buildings are not open to the public as they have over a hundred residents, so book to get an insight into a hidden part of Norwich history.
Absolutely gorgeous environment for elderly home care.... And right in the centre of Norwich itself.

Brasted's at the Great Hospital Sian and her team from Brasteds are the best thing that could’ve ever happened to us. Our wedding planning got off to a rough start with the first venue falling through followed by a cancer diagnosis and a global pandemic. Throughout the journey Sian has been an absolute legend. She has gone over and beyond to make sure all of her wedding couples were well informed with regular video updates that were both helpful and reassuring. Sian is one of the loveliest and most smiley people out there, as well as an absolute pro. Trust in her advice and let her make your wedding dreams come true. Also thank you to the Great Hospital for allowing us to celebrate our wedding at your incredibly beautiful venue. We feel honoured and absolutely over the moon.
A perfect place for retirement. It's ancient walls contains a happy place with happy people. Its willing staff are always at hand to help. God knows so many more places like it are urgently needed.
Wonderful place the staff are friendly and genuinely care about the residents my parents live here and they love it cant wait until I'm old to move there.
Visited my friend who lives here, such a lovely place - very picturesque Due to current covid restrictions you are allowed on site, can park car if necessary but can't actually visit indoors But we walked to nearby cathedral close and enjoyed the sunshine
