14 MONTHS AND STILL WAITING - So far our experience with this company has been a major disappointment. Appointed in October 2024 to complete the execution of my late father's estate - a straight forward case of bank accounts, no property or anything complicated and just one beneficiary (my 80 year old Mother). Now, some 14 months later, my mother has received nothing as the estate has not been finalised She has heard nothing for months and is not being kept informed as to what is happening and why it is taking so long. When she has received paperwork to sign this has included mistakes, such as wrong house number and wrong date of birth, which she has had to point out to them, despite them having all the necessary and accurate information needed. This is causing unnecessary stress and needs sorting ASAP This is both unacceptable and unprofessional.

As first time buyers, this company genuinely made this the most joyless and stressful experience of my life. We were originally quoted just under £3,000 (Inc VAT) and we ended up paying over £6,000 for a standard, uncomplicated leasehold flat purchase. We were forced to pay prior to exchange so were left with no choice but to pay the bill and dispute it later. The solicitor we chose left the organisation on the 24th December and no one picked up our file until January 9th. The solicitor who then completed our sale (who we had no choice in selecting) we found to be unhelpful, rude and violated the terms of the Client care letter we signed on multiple occasions. There were unexpected charges and other errors scattered across our bill which just added to the lack of care displayed. I could list out countless other reasons to avoid this firm, but I’d say just save your money and pick one of the others in the area offering a very similar price.

Sadly this was not a good experience and I cannot recommend the company. It was dealing with the execution of my father's will and a sad experience was made more difficult by the time it took anyone to apply for probate (5 months from the date of the initial meeting with the solicitor for an application to be made and only 3 institutions were involved/ had to be contacted).

Highly recommend Bailey and Cogger. It was the first time we'd used them, but not only was Karen du Rocher approachable, to the point and very experienced, she was speedy and efficient at getting things done! All our previous experiences with solicitors have been head-bangingly frustrating, so this was a breath of fresh air. We will definitely use Bailey and Cogger again, if the need arises!

I have had dealings with Bailey and Cogger for many years and they have always served our family well. Domonique Malyon specifically is a very professional and charming Solicitor, who puts one at ease and is very efficient
