   Arrived at midday on a Friday and there were a few in there, but not many, probably a bit early for most people's lunch. I had the crispy mushroom starter which was nice, followed by the turkey and brucheta pie with mash and veg. While the pie was very nice, the portion of mash was very stingy. How much would it cost to put another spoonful of mash on a plate? For dessert I had the profiteroles which were . . Ok. The service was good and they price was average. The tables were clean and the inside of the Talbot was welcoming. In essence, a nice place to visit for a not too demanding lunch time meal.

   Took my son out. We had a great experience at The Talbot Inn in Milton Keynes. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food came out quickly and tasted spot on. A special shout-out to Ben, who served us — he was amazing from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the visit feel personal. Definitely recommend popping in, and we’ll be back again soon.

   I know there seems to be a theme to my reviews lately but, I like this pub. Went out for a bike ride, typed 'pub near me' in Google and, would you believe it...? 400 yds down the road, there it was. Very comfy with plenty of outside seating and a lovely welcoming bar seating area. Guinness full strength this time and very nice it was. Nice staff and very relaxed. Top marks.

   Great Pub. We initially decided to go because they are dog friendly and that was it. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed the staff are all lovely. Car parking is great, all areas of the inn are clean, bright and comfortable. We went here for New Years Eve and had a great night. The teamwork is fantastic and organised. We didn’t expect much of the food for New Year’s Eve with it just being burgers, scampi chips etc but the burgers were delicious, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. Despite not being our nearest pub it is now our new local and well worth the 30 minute walk. The staff and atmosphere make this place. Well done for putting on a great night.

   A welcoming pub with a decent selection of beers. I've not eaten here so cannot comment on this aspect. The interior is a tad dated with notably carpeted throughout. This is likely one of the reasons this is not a dog friendly pub; a real shame given the location and many local dog owners. I'd rate 4 stars if dogs were allowed.

   Booked for a post funeral buffet never having been here before. It is always nerve-wracking putting your faith in the unknown for a special occasion but the food was good, staff pleasant and cost good. Perhaps the chips could come out in relays to keep them hot for all but that is a small suggestion. Glad we chose the Talbot Inn.

   Have to say this is a great pub. Well worth a visit. Great food and beer. You have to try the nachos amazing. Was well looked after. Nothing was to much of a problem. Think the ladies name was Danni or Danielle. Very good for family's too. 100% recommend.

   Another disappointing meal. Starter was dry prawns on a bed of wilted iceberg lettuce with 2 pieces of bread. Mains was overcooked steak with burnt chips. No one comes over after you have started your meal to ask if everythings OK. I got asked when paying if everything was OK. I replied no and the guy serving just said oh. The pub wasn't overly busy and it's not expensive but I do expect much better. Why go out for dinner when I can cook much better meal at home.

   The pub with the roof dog! Having lived in Whitehouse for nearly 2 and a half years, I visited for the first time yesterday. I'll be honest, crushed by this because it's a great pub. Good drink selection to cater for all, and a big one for me, Pepsi max on tap. Good amount of space indoor for dining and drinking. Friendly bar staff, nice big outdoor area and the food menu has plenty of great options. Then to top it off, when sat in the front garden in the covered sheds, you look up and can see the pub dog peering over the roof. Will definitely be going back!
