Hopeless staff that clearly dont know what a days work is. Probably as it seems to be run by inexperienced children.

Terrible experience. Staff essentially called me a liar and refused to refund brand new product because the box was open (it was already open on purchase) They go out of their way to refuse returns despite having a policy saying they will accept them. I will never shop at argos again.

Bought somthing, had to remove from cellophane to make sure the item was a decent quality. It was not. Returned the following day. Won't allow refund? Joke of a company.

I recently visited the Longton Argos store to return a faulty and potentially unsafe air cooler that overflowed water and caused an electric shock. I expected a straightforward return under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 instead, I was met with one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. The store manager, Paula Greatbatch, was shockingly unhelpful and dismissive from the outset. She spoke over me, showed no willingness to listen, and flatly refused the refund with incorrect claims that I needed to deal with the manufacturer. This is completely false Argos is legally responsible for handling faulty product returns. What made matters worse was Paula’s hostile attitude. She handled the situation with a level of disrespect and arrogance that was both unprofessional and unsettling. Her behaviour made me feel unwelcome and unfairly judged, and I left the store feeling humiliated and incredibly frustrated. Another customer present was so concerned by what she witnessed that she contacted Argos Customer Services herself to report the situation. I genuinely expected better from a company like Argos. At the very least, I expected the store manager to have a basic understanding of consumer rights and to treat customers with dignity and respect neither of which happened here. Argos needs to seriously look into this incident, review the handling of product returns at this location, and assess whether this type of customer interaction aligns with its values. As it stands, this experience has completely eroded my trust in the brand.

If you want to pick up a delivery in a few minutes go here. Also nice staff. I was browsing through a book as a worker went to find the thing I brought and I didn't even make it halfway through the first page

Manager stevie is absolutely useless. Would not let me return my broken tv yet i had an authorisation code from toshiba to return it as well as a letter from them with proof. Sent me back home to call toshiba. I did and they told me go back, manager refused to talk to me and toshiba then she got someone else deal with the situation. Toshiba told them on the phone they should have it back, they still refused. They dont even know their own policies. I took it to the one in festival park, they accepted it straight away, as they should. Seriously poor customer service with a manager who dont even know how to do her job properly if she dont know the policies. I even called argos customer service who said she is supposed to take the broken tv back. WILL NEVER BOTHER WITH THAT STORE AGAIN.

Wow!!! What lovely staff!!! Called in today with my wife to collect a Bing scooter for our grandson. On entering the store we were approached by two, lovely helpful ladies who were so helpful and friendly. Even the lady on the counter had a little witty quip as we collected the scooter!! How nice to visit a store and come out feeling it was a pleasure to go in!! Thank you all!! Argos Longton will be our permanent store for click and collect!!!

Terrible customer service. The manager didn’t want to help. They made me call customer service for help. The manager wouldn’t not return an item that did not meet my expectations. They refused to return the item. Went to another Argos store and they returned it straight away. The customer service needs to be worked on and further training needs to be done on the staff to meet the customer expectations. Learned a lesson and that is to stick with Amazon instead.
