We stopped here for a meal on our way home from the channel tunnel back in April and the food was great; so we stopped again today on the same journey home. Not sure if it’s a different chef but the food was terrible- the spinach and ricotta cannelloni tasted shop bought and the new potatoes were clearly tinned; in a village surrounded by fresh produce I find this hard to believe. The chips that my husband and daughter had are also frozen and looked/tasted reheated. I complained politely to the waitress after leaving most of my meal and she said she’d pass on my comments. When we paid 15 minutes later, we weren’t asked how everything was and no discount was offered. Disappointing.

We are currently enjoying a canal holiday and were recommended The Red Lion pub in Crick village. We decided to take a walk up to the village and are so glad we did. The Red Lion has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere, and all the food is homemade—you can really taste the quality and care that goes into each dish. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. If you're in the area, I would highly recommend stopping by The Red Lion. It’s well worth the visit

We came here as a group for a Sunday lunch after a walk. We got a warm welcome and got seated quietly. There's a good selection of drinks, and the pub feels very homely. There's a good choice on the Sunday menu, including a vegan nut roast. The food came quickly and was tasty. It's really good value for money, and portion sizes were good.

Really lovely old pub. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, traditional pub grub. We had the minted lamb shank and sirloin steak, followed by the cherry frangipane. All washed down with a couple pints of ale. Bliss. Fantastic evening.
