    Avoid!! Avoid!! Winsford Argos especially if you try to take a return.. we bought a stair gate a few weeks ago when we got it home and opened the box we realised we had bought a wall fix one which we didn’t want so I checked t&cs which said I could exchange I took it back to Winsford and was met with MEL the manager she decided to tell me that I could not return it due to health and safety concerns because it had been touched I took it home my partner then read all the t&cs which stated it nowhere we contacted head office who said we could return this time my partner went in and she then changed her mind and said it was not in resale able condition after going back and forth she accused my partner of being aggressive and told him to leave the store we then went to Argos Northwich who were more than happy to do an exchange after reading the reviews there is a common factor which always seems to be the manager MEL how she is the manager is beyond me serious retraining needed will never buy anything from there again!

    Rude and unhelpful obnoxious and clearly disrespectful. I will NEVER return to this store or any other after my experience. Embarrassing please minus the one star!! No wonder Amazon is thriving of this is the level of competition!

    Avoid Winsford. Rude and unhelpful manager. Took a tv back that wasn't working correctly and I was well within my 30 days. I spoke to the manager and explain the situation that it was an intermittent fault. She said I'm going to do some diagnostics. She plugged it into an outlet and turned on for 10 seconds and said it's fine and said she won't be refunding my money or exchanging the tv. I explained this an intermittent fault and I would like a refund or replacement as I'm well within my 30 days and my statutory rights as a buyer. She still refused to serve me and when I was on the phone to customer service in the store they said that I could just take it back as I was well within my 30 days. MEL the manager still refuse and even told us to leave the store. We had to travel to Nantwich twice and I had to make many phone calls to get the situation sorted which eventually Argos Nantwich exchanged the TV for us. The manager at Winsford needs sacking, and Argos should read these reviews and take action.

    Staff were two busy chatting to help, eventually I got help to use the screens after the two assistants rolled the eyes at each other. I tried to explain that the system would not recognise my name and needed some help, which the young girl explained to me that I was doing it wrong, she spoke to me rudely and made me feel silly infront of other customers. One customer came over to me to try and help and he couldnt do it, he even commented on how rude the two assistants were and they were more interested in chatting to the friends that had come in. I eventually had to ask her again to come and help, which she did. Would not return to Argos in Winsford again.

    If you have a issue with a Item don't take it back to Winsford you will have a wasted journey. I went in to exchange a faulty item which I had been told by customer services to bring it in to branch for a refund or a exchange, I was happy with the exchange option as I need the item. Initially spoke to one off the team on the till who was nice and polite and then the so called store manager MEL got her self involved in the transaction and tried everything in her power to not help ( It was like she was on commision to reject returns) Very rude from the start and it turns out I was just out off my 30 days since purchasing the item which has been faulty since day one. Tried explaining that customer services had sent me to exchange and kept persistantly trying to fob me off to the manufacturer. I drove 15 miles to sort it out and completely wasted my time. Rang customer services immediately outside and they couldn't off been more helpful, Apologised on behalf off the branch and have issued a collection for the faulty item from my address and offered a full refund, The only reason why they sent me into branch was becouse they had no stock for delivery and I didn't really want a refund. This review is just to save others wasting there time taking faulty goods back to the winsford branch as you will be completely wasting your time either choose another outlet or go through customer services.

    Shocking customer service Pam the store manager shouldn’t be in that position she is in as she speaks to you like a nobody should be sacked on the spot! no help at all didn’t even take my order number to view the order with the phone call over the phone with Customer services will not be using Winsford. Avoid this place no help and a 25 mile round trip wasted fuel and time. Shame I can’t put 0 stars as that’s what this place should be graded at! Shame on you Argos

    Can only say what a shabbles this place is. Bought some airpods reaslised once i got home there was the wrong ones i wanted. Returned to store and was told i could not return them because i had opened them up. Pam the manager needs sacking and spoke to me in a way that if she was my staff she would of been sacked on the spot. Shop elsewhere

    Went to return hair curling brush, had it 20 minutes took straight back, staff accused me of using it then of it being dirty from my house!! Was aggressive and called other staff to belittle me, refused to refund me told me to leave shop. Will not be going again, went Northwich had an apology and an immediate refund!!!! Rude abusive staff.

    They were helpful enough right until I asked them to refund my money for a product that wasn't compatible with my PC. Then the assistant produced a leaflet and told me that it wasn't company policy to make a refund on these products until I had called the relevant helpline number. Then the assistant walked off. Lovely
