Just want to say a big thanks to all at F1 Autocentre Gambrel Road Northampton for sorting out the heating issue on my Nissan Juke. Following a thermostat housing replacement on 20th November I noticed that the heating in the car was not getting hot, due to the car being used for getting to work and back, I was not able to report it for a few days, I took my other car in on 26th November for its MOT and whilst there mentioned the heating issue, the guy on the desk suggested there was air in the system and for me to remove the cap from the expansion tank and run it for a while to expel the air. However despite my best efforts this did not work so took the car back to F1 on Saturday 29th November for it to be looked at, same guy on desk said earliest it could be looked at was 5 days later, after me saying that this was not acceptable as the system should have been purged of air at the time of the initial thermostat replacement he then agreed for it to be looked at then. After much work by 3 guys approx couple of hours to expel the air, they managed to get the heating working efficiently. They also apologised for the inconvenience of having the problem as the system should have been purged of air at the initial repair. So bit of a moan but cannot fault the service I received from the guys that sorted it (sorry didn't get any names) so big shout out to these guys, you sorted it in the end
Avoid. They are dangerous. In April 2024 I had an MOT and a brake pad change. They did not bolt the brake callipers back on which resulted in my brakes failing at high speed. I had to pay for a tow truck to get the car back, and no car for over a week while they sourced the parts to repair. Attitude from the manager, at one point started shouting at me because I dared to ask when my car would be ready as I needed it. Zero accountability. Did refund the original bill. But I had to pay for the tow truck, someone competent to recheck the brakes, alloy damage and alternative transport. Bunch of absolute incompetent cowboys. Car engine management light came on and I wondered if it was related to a previous service job (not carried out there btw). Post diagnostics, the team were really efficient and gave me some additional advice to go back and raise with the previous garage. I really appreciated their excellent customer care. Definitely 5 stars.
After searching on line for 2 new frt tyres to be fitted to my vehicle i was drawn to my local formula one autocentre who were very compedativley priced . I'm glad I did as the service from start to finish was exellent including sending me updates and texts confirming times of appointment . When arriving 10mins before my appointment I found the team behind the desk very friendly and explained the process and said the vehicle should be ready within the next 15 - 20 min and I could take a seat in the waiting area. Sure enough as promised what seemed like only a few minutes I was told the vehicle was completed and ready to drive away . In addition I must mention the booking system online was extremely easy to use even for a novice like myself , I would certainly recommend formula one autocenters especially the one in suxfields , northampton . Bad experience using this place for MOT and service. Started with very rude person on phone when trying to change the appointment. Got there for 8:30 but was left waiting for them to open. Very slow service, as have had mots completed early afternoon in past but collecting gone 5. After all that the car has more issues than before I had taken it to this place! Taking it elsewhere to get it fixed and never going back!
Ordered 2 tyres that matched the original equipment on the car. Was the best price anywhere at the time of looking online. Able to book a time that fitted in perfectly with my schedule on a specific day. Greeted on the day by a happy, smiling individual at reception. Fitting completed within the hour.
Tried in early January to book my car in for a service and MOT. Planning ahead as it's not due until the end of February. NO availability until March! Got short shrift from head office when I queried it. As a result I've had to go elsewhere... Been a client for over 10 years... Now someone else gets the business and the money.
Absolutely avoid this place !!!! The manager (female American) has sever anger issues and should never be allowed to run a place as her customer service is diabolical, shout at customers is not the way forward to rectifying this complaint. Demanding we left the building, calling both my husband and son in law liars. Our locking nut was in the car when I left the car with them yet they have lost it and saying it was never in car. When the manager says the orange bag was empty then lies and said the bag was never there. If it wasn’t there how does she know it was orange ?? Now costing a fortune to have new nuts fitted Fuming is an understatement and I will take this further
