   We have had an amazing experience at Dean Wood. Julie and Srijit went above and beyond to assess Elizabeth and offer her a place at this Bupa care home. Elizabeth had a wonderful welcome on the day she arrived and Ellie made a particular point of getting to know her and helping her settle in. However all the staff have been very kind and helpful. The catering staff produce delicious food with food tailored to preferences on request, and there are plenty of activities to stimulate and occupy the mind. We love the Seaview Cafe as a place to meet for a cuppa and a catch up.

   The surroundings are great but it is the staff who make this home. My Dad was living there for a few years and the care was truly amazing. Dad loved the staff and, although maybe just another resident, I think the staff loved Dad. I cannot recommend Dean Wood highly enough for general and end of life care. Compassionate and kind.    Dean Wood has provided my Mum with excellent care throughout her time there, during her progressive dementia. The staff make genuine connections with their residents and were beautifully attuned and sensitive at her death. I would thoroughly recommend this home and personally loved taking my Mum onto the roof terrace from where you can just see the sea.

   My family recently attended Dean Wood’s summer fete where we had a lovely time. There was a great atmosphere with lots of people singing along to familiar songs and even some dancing. Delicious snacks and a variety of drinks made it all very special. My mum really enjoyed having us there to enjoy it with her.

   Our relative is being cared for who has dementia and the team are attentive and caring. It has been very difficult through COVID but we were able to visit and see her through a window but are now able to visit in person. Our relative seem happy, enjoys the activities as well as loving the food. Thank you team Clarence.

   If you have a loved one in need of care, you should know that the doctors,nurses and the rest of the team in this home are Angels very caring and attentive. I would love to give the names of some nurses but would not be fair to do so as I dont know all the names. This residence is very well run, they have many activities and it is lovely to see elderly people enjoying television games in the cinema room. The location and views are a bonus . Thank you all at Dean Wood Care Home. Felice
