I would not reccomend the college to anyone I care about especially someone who’s neurodivergent my brother had to quit the college due to being bullied due to his autism by people in his class my mother and I are outraged as the two of them tried to get him support from the college with his teachers and the nuerodiversity help staff and the learning support but the bullying and his difficulties were not helped with

Allows bullying to happen. When you report it nothing is done. They didn’t even talk to the people who bullied me and multiple other classmates even at the point someone was suicidal over being bullied. the teachers still weren’t bothered enough to care about the trigger of them being bullied and just sent them to a support officer which would be fine if they also did something about the reason they were suicidal in the first place. The college in general is very much a culture where everyone’s mean to everyone throughout the whole college. Other than the people in my class being bullies random students from other courses will come up to you and harass you too. Happened to me 4 times my and countless of my classmates too. Only ever heard of this being dealt with once when someone threw something at someone they didn’t even know for no reason and filmed it and posted it on social media. One of the higher ups apparently told them that what they did was wrong and not to do it again. Other than that they didn’t do anything. Other than that it’s just badly ran in general at least in my course they would cancel or move lessons a few minutes before class and tell you off for not getting to lesson on time if they’d moved the room. Or if it was cancelled minutes prior you’d sometimes be waiting for hours doing nothing when you could’ve had a half day. Which might’ve been ok if there was anywhere for students to hang out during the breaks. The cantines (While they had great but expensive food) barely had any seats so unless you was one of the lucky like 40 students to be able to sit inside or the 20 lucky enough to sit outside. There’s nowhere to go to in breaks. Which are sometimes several hours long. So students would get in trouble for sitting in the hallways when there’s literally no where else to go which is annoying for all parties involved. Because you would either have to be lucky enough to get a seat or be on your feet all day long.

I spent four years at this college and it is great. The lecturers were amazing, and they gave me the confidence to succeed, allowing me to study in university on my dream course. Although, I would advise you not to park in the college car park. My car was crashed into twice when parked. The first time was resolved quickly because a fellow student kindly admitted it was them, but the second time was not. Luckily, I had a dash cam to prove that it was a staff member at the college, but they tried denying that it was them. I was not given any help in identifying the staff member either. Quite disappointing from a college lecturer. But other than that, the college is great.

Just returned from my Son's enrollment for the 2021/22 academic year which took place at the end of June at the Gorseinon Campus. Made to feel so welcome by such friendly staff. The whole process was streamlined, efficient, but also warm and personal, and fully Covid safe. Great choice of courses post-GCSE. The staff really demonstrated a caring and supportive environment and instilled confidence. Very impressed!
