I have been with these lot for 3 years. There was a flood in my bathroom so I called them up. The staff member didn't even want to look at any pipes and said it's not worth it. I then had to pay £13,000 worth of house damages for a new bathroom and decoration in the sitting room. I complained but nothing back.
I just had to add an item of jewellery to our policy and was dealt with efficiently and extremely politely. I didn't catch the woman's name but she was brilliant!
Do not take out home insurance with this company. They are a joke. You will have real problems if you want to make a claim. We've just cancelled and gone elsewhere.
Be prepared to spend three months being told whatever they can to get you off the phone. If they say they will get back to you NEVER believe them. I can only assume the scaffolding eventually went up because they use it the same way your car insurance use hire cars to ramp up costs and premiums.
After 4 days of claim, phone me to make for the claim in writing. Fully wasted of money for two and half years with them and valuable time. They are not proper home insurers!
Horrific. Burst pipe and water leaking everywhere, managed to turn it off by the mains and despite having emergency cover they couldnt get to for 24 hours. Asked how are we able to get any water until they come, suggestion was to ask next door to uae thwir water hose. What on earth? Disgraceful.
