Lovely friendly tearoom at the centre of a park with a beautiful lake filled with wild life. The tearoom serves good food served by people with learning challenges. Well worth a visit

Really nice place for food and conversation. Peaceful and not far from the Two lakes. Lots of wildlife, squirrel's, Mute Swam, domesticated geese, Muscovy duck, Indian Runner duck, cormorant, heron and much more. If you want a good meal and nice brew at a reasonable price go see Jo n Sharon and there friendly staff. Two lovely ladies. Ps don't forget to buy your nuts for the squirrels they will love you for it.

After giving a great review before, I now need to give another. My husband and me walk around Longton Park several times a week and have our lunch in the Aynsley tea rooms regularly. It has suited us really well because my husband has cancer and needs to stop as he can go weak and this helps us get along. Today on arrival as usual, we were told we couldnt go in as it was closed for a private party and they told us to go round to the kiosk but the shutter was down. We were in there the day before and no one told us they were going to be closed. They put a note on the window only this morning which is too late once people have already arrived. We feel they should have their private party after they normally close or tell us sooner. We are regular customers and were very surprised that they turned us away. We have been very happy to go there regularly but now we will think again as this experience has upset us. Thank you for your reply to my review, we fully understand that the staff are mainly volunteers, they do a great job, that is why we go there and that is why we gave them a box of chocolates to share for Xmas as we appreciate it. We have no problem with the staff having a party they deserve it, but the note was put on the door that day, saying closed today when we had already walked all through the park. We wish everyone a nice Xmas and a Happy new year.

Lovely cafe in the park, very impressive, all day breakfasts, sandwiches, cakes, all sorts. We had the all day breakfast and a pot of tea each, food was good, tea also. Service was excellent, we were made very welcome. Everything is clean and tidied up straight away after each customer. We went again the next day, different staff same great service. Its so cosy and welcoming.

This is a great and unfortunately underrated park. There is plenty of space to stroll around or take your dog for a walk, a park area for children, multi use games areas, large fields for ball games and even a skate area if that takes your fancy. No matter the season it is always an enjoyable time out.
