An absolutely stunning, modernised Jacobean building with a priory past. The interior is well thought about, carefully picked and organised. The garden and the surrounding area is well kept and worth a stroll. I really enjoyed visiting the winter garden and the Water mill as well. Parking is free, there is an information centre with a restaurant and toilet facilities at the front. The shop can be found here as well. I would recommend it a lot!

Anglesey Abbey near Cambridge is a place that I have visited several times, and it continues to leave a positive impression. Each season offers something different, and this autumn visit was especially enjoyable. The gardens were filled with colourful displays, including asters, dahlias, and other late-season flowers that created a vibrant atmosphere. The carefully maintained borders and pathways made it easy to explore and appreciate the changing colours. I was able to take a number of photographs, as the gardens provide many attractive viewpoints. The historic house on the estate is also an interesting part of the visit. It contains a varied collection of paintings, decorative objects, and period furnishings that reflect the history of the property. Walking through the rooms gives a clear sense of the character and style associated with the estate, and the displays are thoughtfully arranged to help visitors understand the background of the collection. The combination of the gardens and the house makes Anglesey Abbey a rewarding place to spend a few hours. Whether walking through the seasonal planting or exploring the historical interiors, the atmosphere remains calm and welcoming. Overall, it is a well-maintained site that offers a pleasant and informative experience for visitors interested in nature, history, or photography.

Excellent National Trust property with lots of the Abbey open to view. The gardens are more naturalistic rather than formal but lovely to walk around. The autumn leaf colour is very striking. The cafe had a different menu to other NT that we have been to, which was a refreshing change. I woukd definitely recommend a visit.

I was fortunate to visit during an open day so entry was free. The house and gardens are very impressive. The grounds are very big and the accompanying map was helpful. The flower displays are excellent especially the roses and dahlias. The house is worth visiting and there are staff in most rooms to explain about the history of the house. There is a main restaurant and toilets at the main entrance and smaller cafe near the house but food choices were poor. I would suggest taking a packed lunch with you. Overall a great day out with lots to see.

Beautiful house with magnificent gardens and woodland. It's a lovely place to walk through the different gardens, lawns and avenues, with dozens of statues dotted around, and there are plenty of benches to take a breather or just enjoy a quiet moment. The dahlias were simply stunning, and the walk to the mill was carpeted with cyclamen. The office cafe is very small and just offers drinks and snacks, but the restaurant by the visitors entrance offers a better choice and has plenty of seating inside and outside.

Just loved visiting this place. The 'Abbey' was amazing, with great pictures and tapestries inside, a fascinating library and lots of historic bathrooms, if you like something more then bedrooms! Sadly the mill was closed, but the walks and gardens made up in part for this. There was a plant shop, large second hand book shop, traditional National Trust shop, cafe and lots of places to sit. Would definitely visit again.

A great place to visit, you could easily make it last a day and still not see everything. £15.00 a person isn't cheap but there is 100+ acres to look round and a historical mill as well as the abbey itself. A lovely garden and parkland which is easy to get round for anyone. The parkland has a large variety of trees which would even keep Tarzan happy. The restaurant/ tearoom is well priced and top notch. Definitely visit.

Gorgeous! The fall colors were beautiful! The walks through the woods were serene and full of autumn colors. There were a lot of people when we pulled in but the forest walk was fast from it. However the house was decently packed and didn't allow for much casual strolling.

Visited many times since I am National trust member and one of my perennial favourite. All season brings something to see in this beautiful place. True that I never visited the house itself, because I love roaming around the estate and when I ended at the house it was usually already closed. Huge estate with nice taste of landscaping, and because of its size, hundreds and thousand of people can avoid each other and have a nice walk, picnic or just lay down and having sunbathe. Summertime there are more mobile facilities for a refreshment, toilets are behind the house and at the visitor centre. What I'm sorry about is the lack of the benches. There's a few of them, but far from each other and the estate is big enough to get tired in a certain age. They have illuminated light shows in winter time, too. Car park is huge and free, easy to access from A14.

A lovely place to spend a day. The house is small but beautiful with staff very knowledgeable. The grounds are a delight with fantastic statues appearing at every turn. I bought a book from the excellent second hand bookshop and sat on one of the deckchairs on the lawns enjoying the sunshine. Very relaxing.
