After attending this surgery for years, I have recently left. The reason for this is that theyrepeatedly cancelled appointments, failed to respond to the telephone and told me they would return calls but never did. The final straw was being told that- although my children remained registered- they had de-registered me (could give no reason for this). The receptionist later called me back having changed her mind, despite having been quite rude and determined during our previous conversation.
My family have been using this dental practice for my entire life i wouldn't consider any other.
This is one of the best practices in Bedford. I always feel welcome and get offered tea and biscuits. Caring dentists who make you smile.
As our dentist has retired, we saw the new dentist today, Sharon Bubbra. We were extremely pleased as not only is she a lovely lady, she was efficient & thorough, explaining everything as she was going along. We are very impressed with her, and all the staff at Priory Dental Practice, always willing to assist. Thank you all. Bob & Frances
Been with this practice my whole life but have now found a new one as they are so unbelievably unreliable. They cancel or move every appointment. And if you do get to have a check up, it’s not anywhere near as thorough as it used to be and definitely not the service it once was.
I was a patient here since I was little and put my trust in them. I’m now 41 and had gum disease after regular check ups at this practice every six months. In my 41 years I’ve never seen a hygienist. My dentist never did a perio pocket chart ever even when I saw and mentioned my gums I got told they were fine with no pocket chart. I now go to Chrysalis ( who I went to for Invasalign ) who have been brilliant and stabilised my gum disease and now undergoing orthodontist treatment with Bedford Specialist Orthodontist. All I would say is if you go to this practice have they done your perio pocket chart and tested every tooth to monitor your gum health. It’s standard oractice .
We don't have a hygienst the Practice told Care Quality, a patient booked an appointment before me, yet I was told to Google one. The elderly Dentist stated that he would normally charge £50.00 for his service, the previous female had always done my clean and polish in 2 sessions. Should have been offered this on the NHS as before as The Hospital dentist stated, should have just ticked the box as before, when I worked I paid for my treatment, no problem then. I have Post Traumatic Stress so will be awhile when I can return to work £££££ more important than patient care, how things have changed........ Didn't ask if I maybe pregnant before he took my xray, avoid if vulnerable, unless you have someone with you. I was a Mental Health Advocate for 2 years and Care Quality Trained by MIND, this is 2022, not the dark ages.... Shame on you!!
I've been a patient at this practice since 2005 and have always received really great care. I am a very nervous patient and today had a tooth removed under the care of Dr Mokhtari. He put me at ease and made the experience as worry free as possible. Didn't feel a thing. It has definitely helped me overcome my nerves! Thank you so much
Maybe I wasn’t the best client as I am a very nervous patient and maybe very, very lapse due to fear and an underlying health issues. I called to confirm I was still a NHS patient with the practice to be told very bluntly No! I have alway appreciated the service I had been given but the customer care on the phone is very unprofessional. I questioned that out of professionalism and common courtesy a letter informing me I am no longer registered with the Priory Dental Practice could have been sent but was still treated with one word replies. After I mentioned that I thought it was wrong the person on the telephone said she would check the the practice managers but I declined the offer as customer care and service always comes first and in my opinion this practice although the treatment is good when you’re spending money, choose to spend it with great service and care and quality of work.
