Before my first session I was sceptical that any major change would come from counselling, and was actually astounded by the transformation in my confidence and self esteem that followed. Peter is a first class counsellor: empathetic, compassion and intuitive. I'd recommend him without hesitation.

Grateful for my time with Peter, would recommend seeing him in a heartbeat. I was seeing Peter for about 10 months and the experience was transformative.

My experience with Peter was so transformational I wasn't sure where to start with how to put it into words. He really helped to put me back together. I liken it to Kintsugi and Peter is the golden thread. I think he has many exceptional qualities, but here are a few to help you make a great decision and work with him. Patience... He finds time in seconds and minutes to let you reflect and breathe. Even if I felt that I was repeating myself, he always listened. Guidance... He offers sound guidance and shares his thoughts in such a supportive way. Empathy... He sits in the moment with you and always empathises with what you have gone through. Challenge... Where needed, he gently challenges a behaviour or thought. It is always useful and informative. Creative... He allows you to explore different thinking using imagery, which I absolutely loved. Freedom.. You are completely free to be yourself and I always felt like my personality came through in the sessions. Even though it was time to bring it to a close, I am unbelievably grateful l I had the chance to work with Peter and I really can't thank him enough. He is a gifted, kind, wonderful human being, who I can't recommend highly enough.

What drew me to Acorn was the transparency, I wanted to be sure that my therapist was going to be the right fit. I was able to take my time starting with a phone call and then an introductory session before committing to anything long term. From my time working with Peter I now have the tools that I need to positively progress and look forward to using those tools in my future.
