Wait time is preposterous, and if it's going to take so long, a little contact would be useful. so someone doesn't feel so alone. Mental health is like alcoholism or drug dependency. When you need help, you need help. Otherwise, it might be too late.

Was given their information by the wellbeing service September 2021, heard nothing until 2022 due to being missed off the system somehow. After all that time I was offered a Monday evening which I could no longer do as stated these days 9 months prior. Was told they would get back to me with more dates and they never did. I had to chase them twice to get noticed and gave up bothering a third time, never heard from them again. Good thing I'm not a suicidal case but have struggled regardless without any help. AVOID.

I waited for months for an assessment to get some help and support for my mental health to which I had to chase to confirm my assessment was still going ahead to be told they had double booked me and could I do today at 1pm for an assessment. I agreed and moved my work schedule around and general schedule to ensure I was free. I was told I would receive zoom details today for the assessment. I have haven’t received anything and I called, text, emailed and left messages but no answer or response back from the person who was supposed to be doing my assessment or the admin team. Really appalled at the lack of communication and ability of keeping up to date with people.

As You Are is a fantastic service. I think that affordable counselling should be available to all and to find such a great agency that provides this is inspiring. I highly recommend

There is something very special about the calm, warm and open way that As You Are welcomes people to its counselling service. Life can be a real struggle at times, and finding a place to hear yourself think, in the company of an understanding person who will not judge you, can make a real difference.

My person experience of seeing a counsellor at As You Are, was of a healing, nurturing, and safe place to regain my authentic self. As a charity, and a presence in the community of Sussex,we truly blessed to have such a passionate group of people helping us.
