Very disappointed with this visit. I picked up a pair of Skeetex boots liners priced on the shelf at £24.99 I took the liners and the price tag to the till to pay and was told I could not have them at the advertised price of £24.99 and would have to pay £34.99. I pointed out the item was on the shelf at £24.99 and he should sell them to me at the advertised price. Glen told me if he did that he would be in trouble and wasn't prepared to do that for anyone. Went away feeling very disappointed considering how much I spend in that branch.

You often fear shopping at AD is harming our sport as they could be doing the little shop out of business, the little shops that hold the gems on information and perhaps that's true. But then I remember the days of shopping at Tom Bolton's before AD came here and getting my first rod and reel from avenue angling (only shutdown when covid struck.) However you still get the feeling you're in a little tackle shop, the guys are all keen fishermen and as you'd hope are very free with the information they have on venues and rivers and they general knowledge. Oh, and the prices can be pretty sweet too.
Angling shops to me always seem dark, dingy places for the diehards to meet. This was a pleasure to wander around, light and airy, well stocked with helpful assistants. Good range of stock and priced sensibly. I also use their online shop as don't always fancy the long drive to my local branch, goods arrive by courier very promptly, with free delivery over a certain amount Excellent store, highly recommended
