Started our pub crawl around Congleton here. Fantastic selection of beers at very reasonable prices. A pork pie placed on the bar for customers to have a slice of - it was one of the best pies I have eaten! Bar staff polite a quick. Lovely pub, not much to look at from outside but don't be fooled, a great boozer.
A traditional pub, very reasonable prices. The landlord and staff are all very welcoming. Pool table, darts board on offer. Sport on a TV for big events .Food is not always on as different external people rent the room on the flat roof, some of this food has been lovely. Also on some nights they have bands/ singer on. If you like a traditional pub you can't go wrong.

Just what Congleton needed Such a friendly Landlord Michael made us so welcome and the dogs too. Lovely pub, pool table, vey dog friendly, gorgeous warm fire, exceptionally friendly staff. We will all be definitely back.
Absolutely great management and staff. Lovely local that was needed. The local Chinese will reopen on the 9th Feb (Chinese New Year) and make it an even better place to visit. The Landlord/lady very approachable, and wish them all the best
Called in on passing through the town. Totally unexpected! Inside is a large pub newly refurbished from scratch by the new owners. All staff friendly, as were the locals. We wish you well in your new venture.
