   I needed to be in the area for a family funeral and wasn't able to get to my own hairdresser in time, so I booked for a cut and blow dry at Avant Garde based on the reviews and hoped for the best. I needn't have worried! The salon was busy with customers of all age groups, and there was a great vibe about the place. Olivia did a fantastic job on my hair, listened to what I wanted and made some great suggestions. Very happy with my cut and the overall experience.    I went to AG for the first time last week, met Stacey, seems like a lovely girl and she has cut my hair beautifully. Very pleased with how it looks. She did exactly what I asked her to do. No complaints from me whatsoever. I will definitely be having my hair cut here again in the future. Great job Stacey, thank you, I feel ten year younger x

   Terrible experience. Made a horrendous job of my mums hair (I was also present in the salon) layers not straight, hacked at, and left one side about an inch shorter than the other. I highlighted this with the manager who just blagged it to say it’s the way my mums hair fell. My mum is so proud of her hair and this salon made her cry. I would not recommend this salon, they insisted on the payment of £60 for the cut and said to go back in a few weeks once it was longer, maybe if they hadn’t rushed her hair (she was the last appointment of the day) her hair wouldn’t have been such a state. I’d never waste my time nor money here. Expensive and tatty, with lack of care.
