Dire service, disgusting treatment, delays and games after purchasing Platinum (highest possible) policy with Admiral Insurance. I was hit while going round a roundabout on 7th December. The other driver admitted fault and liability at the scene and I submitted HD dashcam footage that was clear on the 8th. As I have an Audi (under warranty) and did not go with their preferred garage for repairs as I would lose my warranty if I did this, I opted informed them I needed an Audi dealership (where I had purchased the car). I was told as I did not use their garage I would not get a replacement vehicle and that I can use Auxcilus a partner company, I opted out of this as it would have meant dealing with a company that has hostile T&Cs and will try to make money out of your claim that are in no way owned or linked legally to Admiral Insurance. I spent 10 days of my life with around 2 hours a day trying to get feedback from them, I was told initially their engineers would take 3 days tore view the quote I submitted from Audi garage on 8th Dec, after a call every day until today (18th Dec) I now receive the info they have agreed the quote which only happened as i quoted that they had broken FCA IDOCS standards and would involve the Obudsmann. If you want to spend hours of your life, massive amounts of frustration, being placated by call services members that apologies but blatantly dont care about you or your claim and also purposely delay and disrupt the claims process then go with Admiral Insurance. I have used them for the past few years but will never use them again. Was now offered £100 to close the official complaint. All the time I have been without a car and not able to do anything or prepare anything for Christmas. Their response, hire one yourself and see if you can reclaim the costs from the other persons insurer...not sure what services they are providing here but it not taking care of their insured on a premium level policy. Assuming old Admiral teams that were good have been bought out and replaced by something that is DIRE.

Horrendous insurance company. Absolutely not recommended at all. Stay away from them. You're buying air.

About 11 months ago, I bought a car, and needed insurance. I chose the Admiral option, as I had previously had good experiences, and they were a brand that I trusted. It turned out the option I chose involved having what is called a 'Little Box' in my car to monitor me. I am 46, have zero points on my license and am a safe driver. I would 100% not choose this option again. My Little Box experience has been catastrophic. I paid nearly £1000 for insurance, and I have literally spent multiple hours per month responding to threatening SMS messages (14 in total) and emails from you when my little box has not been working. I took time to set it up, and it was working logging trips. With no changes, I then get a text message. No trips recorded for 14 days, and threats to remove my 'discount'. So I call your call centres, and eventually get through to an agent who effectively tells me to turn it off and on again, and the app too. Logout, log back in again, and then... oh go for a 15-20 minute drive, right now, to test that it is working. If you are looking for guinea pigs to be free testers for your highly flawed new technology, this should be made obvious in advance. I did have high opinions of Admiral, but now, i would avoid in any circumstance. I had the same issue again yesterday. Another threatening SMS from Admiral specifying that you would remove my "discount' if i fail to get the device to work again immediately. More calls to the contact centre, sat in my car, restarting the box and the app, going for another 10-15 minute spin to check that it's working. It isn't. Another call, another pointless drive. Still not working. To say it has been irritating is an understatement, I must have wasted 20-30 hours over this useless device over the course of the last 11 months. I think realistically, this technology needs a year of further in depth testing on non paying guinea pigs, who have time for (are paid for) this. I do not and have absolutely run out of patience. My insurance with Admiral comes to an end on the 30th Sept, and I am actively looking forward to that date, to not have this constant nagging threat that Admiral are going to charge me extra because the little box is not connecting again, and the threatening text messages are not good for anyone's state of mind. I would also state, that I have responded to at least 10 Admiral surveys, post call, digital, via the app, all asking for contact from someone to help... Radio silence, so I thought trustpilot, Google Reviews would be a good way to ensure that others don't make the same mistake as me. For reference, I have got quotes for an alternative provider without any of the littlebox nonsense, with Allianz, which is £250 cheaper than Admiral, which I would very much recommend to anyone. **** 100% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND #Admiral #Sadmiral

Shady business practices. I bought one year’s worth of home insurance and Admiral deceptively enabled auto renewal and then sold the account balance along with my personal data to a collections agency.

This is the worse insurance company I have had to deal with.. they will make claiming impossible, and in my case need proof i had acute diarrhoea. So if you ever have diarrhea I would suggest you video yourself with diarrhea. Not ideal but sadly only way to prove it

Been with them nearly two years. Never had any issues until we had a car accident and actually had to file a claim. Day of car accident - system kept failing and had to repeat the situation several times, received claim number eventually and recovery truck sent out to pick up our car and we got an Uber home Day 2 - no one has called us about the whereabouts of our car so we called and were told there aren’t any claims on our account and no evidence of yesterdays call. They asked us if we called the right number and we told them someone came to collect our car sent from them. He insisted there’s nothing on the system and only believed us when he saw a claim against us and he recognised the name of the company that collected our car. Wasn’t able to locate our car. Day 3 - again waited all day for a call. No one called us. So we called. Waiting over N hour on hold every day by the way. We were told the garage they sent our car too isn’t accepting our car because we’re too far from the garage so they’re arranging to send it elsewhere. Took details of the garage. Day 4 called the garage that are supposedly receiving our car today they haven’t received it. Called admiral again they have no idea what’s going on. Bare in mind, every time we call we have to explain everything again. Day 5 called the garage again car hasn’t arrived. Called admiral waited an hour for a 5min convo saying they have no idea what’s going on Day 6 - at this point we’re so fed up we decided not to call. Received a letter in the post threatening us about not filing a claim and they’re going to cancel our policy meaning we have to pay for all damages and repairs for all cars ourself. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE. DAY 7 - called again. Waited an hour. Called the garage. Car hasn’t arrived and they said might be one of their partner garages. Day 8 - still no cal or known whereabouts. Day 9 - another phone cal waited 90min and phone hung up. Office closed. No courtesy car. No known whereabouts of our car. No acknowledgment of our claim. We’re struggling to get around. My partner has work. My kids have doctors appointments. Admiral??? What is this? Won’t be renewing with you and will be making sure I leave reviews everywhere I possible can about your rubbish customer service!
