   I got my hair done here for layers and a trim. I had my hair done by heidi, and she did such a beautiful job. My hair is naturally very fine and doesn't hold curl well. However, she did such a good job giving me volume and the look I was going for. I had mt hair cut previously with hude chops and blocky blending, but heidi fixed it and made it super smooth and voluminous. 10/10 recommend her she was so helpful and kind. The whole salon had such a nice energy and was very welcoming.

   Jason is a good listener, does as you ask and gives advise on styling. He's the perfect hairdresser in my opinion, oh and he's funny! It's a calm environment and understated salon, relaxed and surrounded by art works from up and coming creatives. All you could want to relax.

   I had an appointment this afternoon with Maddie. After previously having a bad colour experience, I was nervous and desperately needing a transformation. Maddie helped to suggest suitable colours, based on the condition of my hair, previous colour and my wishes. She was chatty, polite, kind and although still learning her trade, she was confident and knowledgeable. She's done a fantastic job and restored my faith. Jason, the owner, is lovely too and this seems such a friendly, respectful salon. Will definitely return... Well already booked. Highly recommend.

   Their Facebook page say they're friendly but I tried to book an appointment with them by contacting via Facebook asking for an appointment on a specific day and explained I hadn't been before. They told me they didn't have availability and when I messaged again asking for other availability they didn't even bother to respond. A really poor first touch customer experience.

   I have been going to the hatbox since the business started and there is no where better in town to get your haircut. Jason and his team always go out of their way to fit you in to suit you at short notice and have even stayed behind to suit me. friendly, relaxing atmosphere. I have always felt very welcome and most of all always been pleased with how they cut hair. if you are looking for someone reliable who goes the extra mile try these guys. they really are great.

   I went here for the first time today. Leonie did my hair and took the time to chat to me first to find out what I really wanted. All the staff were really friendly and offered me tea or coffee while I was there. It was lovely to have the same person all the way through. Where I have been before I have been passed from one to another with the stylist only doing the last bit. I felt so comfortable and relaxed through the whole process and came away with a lovely new look and feeling great. I booked my next appointment before I left.
