We have had a few afternoon teas here all have been lovely. Sandwiches fresh and the scones are lovely too.

Fantastic pub, great memories from my childhood, to drinking there when I just turned 18. Had my 40th there fab food fab people a truly great British pub. :)

Really lovely. Beautiful surroundings, very old world-y. Limited but good menu for lunch. Service was excellent. It's usually required to book. Highly recommended.
Friendly staff,, thanks for the welcome. We will be back a lot more frequently now. Not bothered about our puppy dog barking a little, unlike other pubs in the area that used to be associated with the Gate.
Had the most amazing afternoon tea c they couldn't do enough for us all the service was 5 stars and more
