Superb! A warm welcome and clear instructions about the procedure, where accompanying adults could go etc. Lovely cafe and I loved the idea of ringing when my husband was getting ready to go. We left late because it had been busy, but our nurse, Fatima, was superb. No question went unanswered and she gave us time. How lucky to have this facility! Thank you.

This was my second visit to the Quadram Institute and as before I was well looked after. From the receptionist, nurses and then the Endoscopist Gabriela, it was a very good experience. From start to finish it took about two hours and trouble free. The hospitals Vision is the Best Care for Every Patient. And I’m pleased to report I received that best care experience. Thank you NHS.

This building is beautiful and modern on the inside and out, really high ceilings and there is a cafe at the far back up the stairs. It feels nice and relaxed and there are toilets near the entrance. There is pay by the hour parking close by too.

Walking in I had no idea what to expect. From the reception to the recovery room everything was relaxed and I was well informed every step of the way. First step was in a room like a GP room. Had a chat and made sure all the paperwork was acurate. Second step was having a small painless cannula put in my arm with some jocking about tattoos. I would suggest if you are nearvouse just watch it happen it's quite fascinating. Third step was taken to a men only waiting room with 2 toilets and the lady I first met instructed me on how to change. It starts with dignity shorts an open gown on the front a 2nd open gown over the top on the back. I couldn't do the ties but realy not needed it all holds together well. Forth step taken to the procedure room I thought it was just going to be having the sedation. But it wasn't! A lovely jolly team included me in the banter they were having amongst themselves. I felt very at ease. They administered the sedation and very shortly after I was watching everything unfold on the big screen. Absolutely no pain or discomfort and I think I dozed off because before I know it I'm in the recovery ward being looked after by another team making sure I was fit to leave and join my friend to be debriefed. In a nutshell very friendly thorough and clean. Not planning on going again but if I had to I would know I was in good hands. A big thank you.

Arrived early, the receptionist was very helpful and was given some paperwork to fill out, appropriately 10 mins to fill out, after another 10 mins a staff member came a got me , I sat in a room going through the procedure with them, very helpful, I went and sat in another room for 5 mins and was asked to come thru, the team i n the room was fantastic talked me through from having the spray in the mouth to what they was going to do. Great team. Great place, but glad when it was over, 15 mins I was in my car going home.

I had an endoscopy yesterday afternoon, and was offered a quicker appointment by agreeing to a trainee- we all need training. Whilst the whole team were really lovely and supportive from start to finish, the trainee was really warm, reassuring and professional- well done and thank you so much, the NHS has a future star they are training. Only negative is the opening timings on the letters sent out (Mon-Fri 8am opening), do not correspond with those online (Mon- Fri 9am opening), 24 call attemps for advice between 8- 9:10am but no answer.

I don't know what the medical side of things is like, but having brought a family member for an NHS endoscopy, the building and grounds is actively hostile for people with mobility problems. Inadequate signage, a route from the car park that goes up steps and down slopes for no reason other than to show off the architecture, and when you get into the NHS waiting the seats are uniformly too low for people with back or knee problems to comfortably get in and out of. Just - did nobody think that if they're offering NHS services their patients might not be in full health and strength? There is disabled parking - you can't see it until you're at the entrance already and it's not signed from the road.

I was really worried about having my Colonoscopy but felt reasurred after reading all the good reviews of the Quadram institute. From the minute I arrived everyone was really friendly. I went through within a couple of minutes of arriving, was checked in with nurse Daniel who was very reassuring and efficient and he put me at ease and made me laugh. You get changed into two gowns and you put on a pair of paper shorts with a slit at the back so you never feel exposed while having the procedure. The Colonoscopy went well and it was over quicker than I thought. I really appreciated one of the lovely nurses holding my hand throughout the procedure, hope I didn't squeeze too hard. Had another visit from nurse Daniel in the recovery room and he brought me tea and biscuits and explained what was found, luckily nothing serious but something that explained my symptoms. So the procedure was well worth having done. And it couldn't have gone any better. Well done to all at the Quadram institute, 5* service. Many thanks.

My husband had a flexible sigmoidoscopy at the Quadram today. He couldn’t have received better care. The staff are marvellous. After the procedure the outcome was thoroughly discussed and we were both put at ease. We were able to ask questions and were provided with helpful documents. The building itself is extremely impressive - so light and airy.
