   Having had a terrible experience with a local (Macclesfield) tyre fitters I did a Google search and came up with Halfords Congleton. What a serendipitous search this proved to be. 1. The four top quality (Bridgestone) tyres were fitted at a lower price than I'd paid for a set of budget tyres two years earlier. 2. The staff were brilliant - identifying that I'd paid extra for balancing when they include it as standard - a credit was issued. 3. The staff were brilliant – On being wished 'happy birthday', by a friend who picked me up whilst the tyres were being fitted, and learning it was my 78th birthday, I was wished a 'happy birthday' and given another discount! 4. The staff were warm and welcoming. 5. Murphy's Law - four days later I got a puncture. But I'd taken advantage of Halford's Tyre Warranty - £10.99 a tyre - but the puncture (which had a temporary plug fitted) was deemed unrepairable – so a new tyre had to be fitted. The insurance saved me £250 - less the £10.99 insurance! 6. On returning to the centre to have the new replacement tyre fitted the manager - Mike - spotted the 'new' tyre marks indicated it was actually over five years old. He chased their wholesalers and obtained a new, new tyre. Mike also spotted that the spare tyre - purchased two years ago from a Macclesfield tyre shop had been over six years old when purchased new! 7. The (this time) brand new replacement tyre was fitted - and the service, yet again, was exemplary. 8. Halfords Congleton Autocentre will be my first call in future. 9. The staff are brilliant, the prices are highly competitive - and the staff CARE.

   Absolutely zero customer care. I was 15 mins late for a 1hr appointment for a single tyre. I was told they had moved on to the next vehicles and it wouldn’t be possible to fit in. I took that on the chin, I was late after all, booked in for a week later. Took in the car 15 mins early was told it will be 45/1hr (for a single tyre?!?) went for a coffee, did some shopping- it had been well over an hr so I headed back in. It hadn’t been done. I asked how long- “not long” so I waited in reception. 30 mins passed- how long pal? “Not long”. Another 30 mins passed. “That’s you pal, see you again” 2.45 minutes to change 1 tyre. Sat in reception I listened to their “customer service” and I wasn’t alone it bad experience, it was clearly the norm. Absolutely avoid plenty of big shed chains bookable online if that’s what you want, not cheap, not good service and I will not be returning. Most tyre shops would swap a tyre in 20 mins at the most.

   I had my MOT yesterday, and I have to say, it was a pretty good experience! Mike at the reception was fantastic. He was really friendly and put me at ease, which was great since I get anxious about these things. Definitely recommend!

   Wheel alignment. I rang and asked for appointment. Same day. Staff very helpful. Job took no longer than stated time. I needed a hand to get off from chair due to recent surgery. Staff offered me their arm as support without me asking. All round excellent staff and service.

   I recently paid for a new bulb for my headlight fitted at Halfords But when I went back to my car they said they couldn’t do my model as it was to complicated ? I popped into Halfords auto centre in Congleton and the guys were so helpful and accommodating They literally replaced it in 5 minutes flat apparently not complicated at all Thank you so much to your kind and friendly guys at Halfords auto centre in Congleton Went above and beyond

   All the guys at Halfords Congleton are brilliant, friendly and professional, but Craig is a credit to the company, work completed with care and everything fully checked afterwards. Personal service every step of the way and even took the time to inform me of a couple of issues he spotted so I can look to sort them before they become big issues. Very happy

   Being a Premium member of the Halfords Motoring Club I thought I would take up the offer on a free MOT on my Tesla model 3. Very easy to book an appointment online and the whole process was very easy. After dropping the car off I was kept informed by email and telephoned within an hour to say all completed and ready to collect. First class service. Thanks.

   MOT Test - Failed due to a missing wheel bolt - Halfords offered to replace - wheel bolt turned up from Euro Car parts and I got charged £15 for a single wheel bolt when it's only a £2 part from Euro car parts. Apart from this very good service very friendly staff
