Both Lynn and Richard are amazing people and brilliant dance teachers!! They are so kind, caring and really enthusiastic too! I would recommend Miller Dance to anyone who is interested in Ballroom and Latin dancing.
Richard and Lynn are amazing teachers!! I’ve danced here for over 5 years now and enjoyed every second of it. They’re so supportive of me and patient despite my anxiety and have taught me so much. Friendly, welcoming dance school. My boyfriend and I wanted to learn to dance socially and Maya has been a brilliant teacher. It’s always a little bit frightening trying something new, but we were made to feel so welcome and at ease. Great fun and we’re making progress! Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn to dance or improve their skills.
Back in November 2023 my sister and I (our husbands aren't keen !!) decided we would like to learn to dance. Our parents had been keen competition ballroom dancers and Mum immediately recommended Richard & Lynn's Dance School. Altho slightly apprehensive we booked into the Adult Beginners Session (Weds at 19:45). The studio is easy to find with plenty of parking. We felt welcome as soon as we walked thru the door, Richard and Lynn briefly explained the format and introduced us to a few others in the class. We started with a warm up which Lynn and Richard took everyone thru even tho some people had done the routine before, we followed with a couple of ballroom dances, again with Richard and Lynn taking the group of leaders and followers thru separately and again we when joined up as a couple, needless to say the 45 mins just flew by and we were hooked. 8 months on and we have been able to attend most weeks, we are reasonably competent (at a very basic level) at a few ballroom and latin dances and have mastered the various warm up routine. We absolutely love it, everyone is so friendly and partners aren't essential, we always have such a laugh. A couple of times a year Richard and Lynn host a 'Celebration of Dance' at a bigger venue where dancers at every level and all ages come together to enjoy getting on the dance floor. The age range at the July event was 6 years thru to my 89 year old Mum who still managed a few turns around the floor. If its something you always wanted to have a go at then Richard and Lynn are certainly the right people to help you tick it off your list :o)

I have recently returned to Ballroom/Latin dancing having had almost 20 years away. I initially had a one to one lesson before joining, although feeling slightly nervous, I really enjoyed it. It gave me the opportunity to go through the options available. I am now part of a weekly class which I thoroughly enjoy and hope to add in one to one lessons once I have found my "feet". The staff and teachers are very welcoming and have helped me to fall back in love with this style of dance.
