   I was placed here when I was 16 in 2000 and I was there for 3.5 months before being transferred closer to home. I don't have a bad word to say about the place, I made strong connections with a lot of the staff, and because of them it made the experience a hell of a lot better, good food, great facilities, activities to keep you busy. I have to mention, becca my key worker she was the best...macey kept me laughing with his banter..Erika, Laz, sian x 2...so many fond memories here. I even keep in touch with some of the kids i became friends with. I still think about you all often!!

   Recently got out. Some staff were lovely but some were violent and impulsive. Very little help for kids there and management never really took complaints seriously

   I was there in the late 90s, it was an absolute nightmare to be there. I was beaten and covered in bruises, and the staff took each other's side. I was a really bad self harmer and I'd be left to do it. I'd be locked in my room for days. I was always subjected to strip searches, and I mean strip searches, u have to take off every item of clothing you made to put a dressing gown on till every item of your clothing was searched. I was 13yrs old and this was very degrading. I was relieved to be moved from here.

   It's a shame kidd end up there, but atleast it's actually secure and they can't escape. Beautiful horses in the surrounding fields, until the council sell it for development
