   Drove my car here in limp mode April 2025, diagnosed "low oil pressure", informed possibly due the wet belt on this type of vehicle as a blocked oil switch was discovered. Roughly 6 weeks later, same issue again, drove it back in limp mode, informed once again it was a potential wet belt issue and advised i was looking at £6K-£7K to strip the engine down etc, which against the value of the car, technically this is a write off. On this advice, i paid a deposit on another vehicle. The car is given back to me in limp mode and roughly £800 garage fee's for something that wasn't fixed properly in the first place. The AA arrive to assess my car before towing it to another garage, they plug my car into their diagnostic machine, completely different diagnosis to TG, unrelated to any wet belt issue, fixed on the side of the road and successfully driven there on. Unfortunately, on the bad advice of TG i had already bought another vehicle which has now significantly left me out of pocket. I am still waiting for a response to an email i sent them 3rd July. I was a long term regular customer here with 3 vehicles. So upset with the service i received and the poor advice, lack of compassion and absolutely no offer of even accepting responsibility. Never ever again. Response 01/08/25 Its crazy that we are having this conversation on an open platform, if you had of replied to my personal email we wouldn't be having this public conversation, YOU choose this, not ME. You quote" I want to start by genuinely acknowledging how upsetting and disruptive this situation has been for you. You’ve trusted us over the years with your vehicles, and to feel let down—both financially and personally—is something we don’t take lightly" First question So I ask, if you don't take this lightly, and you are genuine, why did you not respond to my email sent 3rd July??? But you respond on this platform almost straight away?...... I am not a one off customer, yet felt like treated like one. Even if you had of responded in any way to the email of July 3rd, I could of accepted it, but not to take the money and be ignored, where is the post customer service TG?? Answer that one. Second Question You claim that you carried out no repairs to my engine??? So, why am i sat here in one hand looking at a bill for £646.03 for a repair & replacement oil switch?? That you fixed?? Please share this with me and the rest of the world!! I refuse to be another victim of the car trade at my expense through poor car sales, diagnostics and blatant lies and will exercise my autonomy through the correct legal channels. TG had an opportunity to deal with this at the lowest level and not sprawled all over social media. This was your decision, not mine.

   Having developed a problem with our narrowboat bow fender we were recommended to speak to Tim and Lisa at Talbot Wharf. They couldn’t have been more helpful!    They don't like diesel cars which I found odd, advised me to sell my car and get a petrol car, went to another garage and they fixed the problem for £30. Was a very odd experience I must say.

   Yet again cannot praise Mark and his team enough service mot and repairs to my E220 first class. My partners A180 mot. And this morning have water issue on my E220 and can drop it off for him. Nothing is too much trouble highly recomended would not use anyone else. Stuart

   Been going here for four years, the last time we had work done on our van, it was £900 odd and there was still a clonking sound from underneath, which we wasn’t happy about. In fairness we was asked to go back so it could be looked at, We didn’t due to being inconvenient at the time.

   Superb service. Telephoned to book MOT, friendly response to my enquiry and booking made to suit me. Booked for 3pm, returned to pick up at 4pm and vehicle was ready. Great no hassle service from this business. Would highly recommend.

   Have used Talbot Garage now for some 10 years, and to be honest, I don't know why you would contemplate going anywhere else. MOT's, Cam belt, brakes, wing mirror replacement and a broken suspension all handled speedily and at very reasonable cost. First class service, not pricey and very honest with diagnoses if there's a problem. Knowing how busy they can be, I took my vehicle in this morning having struck a pothole locally, asking if they could have a quick look at a knocking noise. Within an hour I got a phone call - busted suspension spring, and now here I am at 1:45pm on the SAME DAY and its been replaced and the car is ready for collection. Amazing. Highly recommend this garage for all your car needs.

   I have been using Talbot Garage for a few years now, basically as I trust then. Always very friendly and professional. Look after their customers. My windscreen wiper stopped working so I had to call out the AA who fixed it but told me to get my garage to look at it. My car was due it's MOT so took it into Talbot and asked them to look at the wiper as well. They phoned me to say that AA repair was all good so needed no extra work. As said I trust them.
